Hmm. Root works fine for me. Take a look at settings/Superuser. Attached is a screenshot of Titanium Backup on Vanir. Maybe try flashing the Superuser binary?

I will take a look into the battery drain issue.

Where are the Screen Shots. Your roms are awosome.going to have a try:good::good::good::good::good:

Screenshots uploaded. There aren't many UI customizations now, as they are being slowly added back to Kitkat. One main feature of the ROM is its speed and smoothness, which can't be shown in screenshots. You have to flash it to feel its power. :D

OK, I added a new version of the ROM, and the SuperSU problem and battery drain should be fixed.

Download here.

Remember to wipe data before flsahing this, or else there may be problems.

I have been testing it for a day, and I'm amazed at the lagfree-ness of the ROM. Just speeding through tasks like they're nothing. There is no stuttering of animations too when flipping through tabs and pages, or going to the recent apps menu. Try it.

Here are the battery stats: 1 day without charging, 2.5 hours of screen time (mostly YouTube videos and a bit of gaming), auto-brightness, and still 40% left! :)

Yes, you can use whichever GAPPS you want as long as it is for android 4.4.2. The GAPPS provided is just for people who don't know where to download it.

Could I request a flashable zip of the kernel for step 2. The reason being my laptop is messed up on drivers as I have a Samsung,Nexus and Sony phone and I can't install the fastboot drivers for any apparent reason. I already have CWM on this phone.

Or would creating one myself work?
To my understanding I would need to put
META-INF folder with the certs and updater-binary and a customized updater-script to mount filesystems and extract the kernel
lib/modules folder
boot.img

Here is the kernel flashable zip i made for myself just put the boot.img from ur rom zip in CM11boot.zip and flash via CWM then reboot ur phone into recovery that's it now u can install the rom

After update, Rom works fine so far! It is fast and seems stable.
The only "bug" that I found is that the quick toggle symbol for mobile data is not centered, plus the user switcher toggle stays blank, no picture is shown

Pitty that ART is not functional :/

BTW: I love the boot logo :D

Edit: battery life is brilliant :)

Seems fine to me though, try restarting? See if your picture is set in the People app (or rather, use the People app to set your picture).

Maybe it's just one of those bugs. :)

Hi guys, I am an official maintainer for (most) Sony devices on VanirAOSP

Right now, we are exploring the viability of adding Xperia SP(huashan) to official 5.1 nightlies. Therefore, I have built an initial test build to check out the device specific bugs.

Please test and report with a logcat. Thanks.

-Apparently ART STILL DOESN'T WORK! But at least now you can't enable it in the settings menu. (You can try, but when you reboot it switches back to Dalvik.)
