I have literally been at this for 12 hours trying to use Odin, Heimdall, Motochopper and a few other flashes.

This is what my code looks like in the terminal:
Code:
[*]

[*] Motochopper: Android root exploit (Linux/OS X version)

[*] v1.1

[*] by Dan Rosenberg (@djrbliss)

[*]

[*] Tested on the Motorola Razr HD, Razr M, Razr Maxx HD, and Atrix HD.

[*] Supports lots of other devices as well. ;)

[*]

[*] Before continuing, ensure that USB debugging is enabled and that

[*] your phone is connected via USB.

[*]

[*] WARNING: This will likely void the warranty on your device. I am

[*] not responsible for any damage to your phone as a result using this

[*] tool.

[*]

[*] Press enter to root your phone...

run.sh: 39: read: Illegal option -n

[*]

[*] Waiting for device...

* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *

* daemon started successfully *

^Cerror: protocol fault (no status)

I can't remember where I read it but it may be with my USB drivers. I know I can remove them through the rm command but don't know how to get rid of all of them so I can download them fresh. Also, I tried to download the Clockwork RecoveryMod and it didn't work. Whenever I run it through Recovery Mode, Volume Up Home and Power buttons, it only shows the Android System Recovery and this is what it tells me right before rebooting:
PHP:
Finding update package ...
Opening update package ...
Verifiyng update package ...
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed

Also, now for some reason I get this when trying to download the ClockworkMod Recovery:

Code:
Initialising connection...
Detecting device...
Claiming interface...
Attempt failed. Detaching driver...
Claiming interface again...
Setting up interface...

Initialising protocol...
Protocol initialisation successful.

Beginning session...

Some devices may take up to 2 minutes to respond.
Please be patient!

Session begun.

Downloading device's PIT file...
PIT file download successful.

ERROR: Partition "kernel" does not exist in the specified PIT.
Ending session...
Releasing device interface...
Re-attaching kernel driver...
For some strange reason trying to install the zImage doesn't work anymore
Could someone please tell me:
How to remove the usb drivers and which drivers are the correct ones for Ubuntu 13.04 for my GS4?
How to correctly install the ClockworkMod Recovery?

As well intentioned your post reply to me may be it makes me a little angry. I am very new to all this and it neither addressed my questions or did much of anything. I will still check it out because I am quite exhausted.

He's helping you out by saying to try using CF auto root. As in my opinion is the better choice.

I guess I was just hoping for a much lengthier explanation as to why I should and what I did wrong. I am trying to learn and just dumping what I spent half a day on is not the most enlightening of my mood.

Sorry, but cf autoroot is a one stop, quick and easy root. Drop it in odin and flash. No one on the S4 uses motochopper.
