Thats right, the kernel dev can absolutely do nothing against this stigmatisation!

you can go here: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2081748

and use this method to downgrade to an bootloader which has no signature check implemented.

Atm I'm using the XXALE8 bootloader and with this i could get rid of the mark and even of the flash count (only testet with mobile odin) and changed system status! and all this since xxella rom up to my current running xxemr2 rom! ;)

I think its worth to "risk" a bootloader change

Totally agree, but i prefer not to downgrade and keep red esclamation mark.
It all depends on your point of view

K2-6:
- Updated initramfs scripts from XXEMA2 Android 4.1.2 kernel
- REMOVED Samsung ExFAT module support to enable optimizations
- Rebuilt using Codesourcery 2012.03 GCC 4.6.3 toolchain
- Implemented kernel hack to support CRT-off animation

IMPORTANT: I've decided to remove ExFAT support from K2-6 so that I can enable more optimizations (disable more debugging and use a newer compiler). I believe the battery life and smoothness should be improved by not having to compromise optimizations to load the closed-source Samsung ExFAT modules.

If you use an ExFAT formatted SD card, you can just reformat it as FAT32 and it will work.
Being a total noob here, but is initramfs scripts different for every ROM ?
So is it possible that the speedmod kernel performs differently on newer ROMs like XXEMB2 ?

hi hardcore, will you update your kernel to the latest leaked 4.2.1 firmware although it is just a BETA or do you wait till the final version will be released?

    Hi guys,

This is the SpeedMod kernel for the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
This kernel is for Samsung Android Jelly Bean ROMs only.

    SpeedMod's core features are:
    - Super stable: No undervolting, overclocking or potentially unstable modifications
    - Fast and smooth: Compiler and code optimizations
    - Excellent battery life: Remove unecessary logging and debugging

    Current features:

    Root:
    - Automatically installs root (SuperUser and su) but can be disabled

    Screen and misc tweaks:
    - Auto-brightness increased slightly (in low-to-mid light)
    - MDNIE screen sharpness and color tuning (improves text readability)
    - init.d, TUN, CIFS, IPV6 Privacy support
    - Fixed freeze on FC problem with Samsung ICS & JB ROMs

    Performance:
    - CPU governor tweaks: increase responsiveness
    - IO tweaks
    - Read ahead tweaks
    - Compiled with optimizations using CodeSourcery GCC toolchain
    - Optimized GPU DVFS
    - ARM CPU topology support
    - SCHED_MC multi-core aware scheduler

Turned off unnecessary logging for better smoothness and efficiency:
    - Disabled Android Debug Logger / logcat
    - Disabled Samsung debug
    - Disabled various kernel debugging, statistics and tracing options

Instructions on how to enable logcat and disable auto-root are in the 3rd post (below).

I'm still here guys. Still using the S3 as my main phone. Just been busy with work and nothing really to update. Maybe when 4.2 roms and sources are out.
