I'm still pretty new to the Xperia, but if the nandroid was made with the stock kernel; would you having the doomkernel installed cause your problems.
It won't work.Just a question though, I want to try your Rom and help support, but I also have been wanting Cyanogenmod on my Verizon Play. They say unlocked bootloaders only though, in which I'm talking about FreeXperia. Was that posted before recovery could be installed on a locked bootloader or will my phone brick if I try to install that?
please tell phone model /locked or not/ rooted or not/ and any more additional information you have thank you
you could also try 1.0.3 and see if that works?

R800x cdma verizon, locked bootloader, rooted with the zergrush method. I am starting to think it was a bad download could you please supply the md5sums for the 1.0.4 and the 1.0.3?
It won't work.
Cyanogenmod requires a different kernel than Stock, so it won't boot.
(you need an unlocked bootloader to install a new kernel)
Don't worry about it, I redownloaded and, for me, it was a bad download

OK, the OP says to make sure that we have CWM / Recovery installed. Well, I don't and I don't have an unlocked bootloader so how the heck do I get it installed? Next, how do I go back to the stock recovery if I ever need to for warranty reasons?
Ok, i really want this ROM on my R800i as well, so i need to know how i can help.
What apps did you remove, what tweaks, etc?
I mean, i'm not a cook (although i did cook for Nokia 5800), but i wanna help!
Its failing so if im not mistaken its not passing as a Google device

Not yet.
Apparently google has some sort of deal with verizon that their phones have to be loaded with bloatware or it will cancel your google account on the market and not let you download anything
I'm looking for a solution.
Until I fix this I'm removing the rom download. Just wait till the new version is released
numerical battery bar

-Make sure your battery is atleast 50% for saftey reasons.
-Make sure you are rooted & have CWM Installed
- Extract Cola_X.X.X Archive File
-Place Cola_X.X.X Folder inside clockworkmod/recovery/ located on your SD card. (If the folders dont exist create them)
-Reboot phone and push down on volume button till Recovery screen comes up.
-Select - "Backup and Restore" option with volume rocker and hit HOME.
-IMPORTANT: Make a backup of your current ROM incase you want to revert later.
-Hit back to main menu of recovery and select wipe cache partition.
-select -Backup and Restore/ Restore / Cola_X.X.X then hit HOME
-Wait for the files to finishing flashing and REBOOT SYSTEM NOW option.
The cola rom is special . Did you check the internal space in this is rom? 330mb free internal space. More internal memory than most xperia play roms. I tried replicating cola on a stock 2.3.4. Debloating stock myself and the highest internal memory I got is 285. A big difference in my book. :/
