Hi Everyone!

I just found a neat trick...if you use Google Talk you can have the power of Google Now on your fingertips. This obviously only works in text mode so no fancy windows, cards or animations but...stills does the job. Also, it's only available in English
What do you need to do? Just add guru@googlelabs.com to your list and that's it!

See the screenshots here:

Available commands:
  • Score <team>: Let's you search the score of the specified team
  • Weather <city>: Tells you the current weather on defined location
  • Define <word>: Dictionary
  • Translate <word>: Translator
  • Web <query>: Google!;)
  • Calculate: <calculation> | For conversion: <value> <unit> in <new unit> (ie 130 celsius in F)
  • Currency: <amount> <currenty> to <currency>

Do these commands reminds you of anything? Yes, they are the same options available for Google Now (except for flights, that I suppose is based in a web search and presented in a fancy way).

UPDATED with new commands thanks to celebi23 & majo_scigo

Hope this helps anyone!

This is good. It is being around a while, but I don't think "Google Now" should be attached to it ;)

Google Search

While this is a cool feature, it's not Google Now. These same answers are given in Google search, in the form of cards, if you format the questions that way. Google Now aggregates your Google Services info and provides relevant cards based on time and location.

It's still cool, just mislabeled.

This has always existed via SMS:

google dot com / mobile / sms / search /

Can't posts links yet, but you can figure out how to put that in your browser.

Amazing tip! While they're not listed as supported topics, Currency & Calculate still work. For example:

    Calculate: 123 * 45
    Currency: 120 KES to USD

Moved to Android Apps and Games!

    So does unit conversion:
    130 celsius in F
    guru@googlelabs.com 12:48 PM
Calculator: 130 degrees Celsius = 266 degrees Fahrenheit

    5 miles in km
    guru@googlelabs.com 12:48 PM
    Calculator: 5 miles = 8.04672 kilometers

    5 psi in bar
    guru@googlelabs.com 12:48 PM
Calculator: 5 pounds per square inch = 0.344737865 bar
