Like you said, Quadrant means nothing.
If your device is laggy, then indeed something is wrong.
If not, then enjoy it.

I check the problem is caused by media scanner service awakes my phone all the time eventhough I remove the external sdcard. If I kill the media scanner and run quadrant immediately I can get near 6000 but then when the service restarted again the score back to 3500.

Hi. I think it will work. In my experience,if you come from a stock kernel, you didn't need any wipe. But if you have previously installed a custom kernel (like yank, perseus etc) i suggest a full wipe. Also,at least in my experience, keep in mind that you will experience fast battery drain for the first 20-30 % of battery. It's normal, kernel need time to settle. I suggest you at least 2 complete battery cicle before judging (with battery cicle i mean full discharging followed by full charging with phone switched off). Hope i've been helpful. Greetings from the snowy Italy.

Hi hardcore, I confuse about relationship between removing exfat module and enabling optimization. I thought they are not related because optimization is about code and compiler option. Could you explain?

Thanks.

That is bloody crazy no way could you have been on 50 percent brightness all the time and get that kind of battery life, I struggle to get that on 20 brightness..

Could you provide me with a list of apps that you have frozen? I'm not sure what to freeze and I get a hell of a lot of wake locks.

I'm looking forward to installing this!

Can anyone tell me if this kernel be flashed with mobile odin and if I am already rooted (I've got supersu installed) Do I need to disable the auto root function when flashing speedmod?

Yes, use Mobile Odin. It does not matter if you have already rooted.

    Hi guys,

This is the SpeedMod kernel for the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
This kernel is for Samsung Android Jelly Bean ROMs only.

    SpeedMod's core features are:
    - Super stable: No undervolting, overclocking or potentially unstable modifications
    - Fast and smooth: Compiler and code optimizations
    - Excellent battery life: Remove unecessary logging and debugging

Download links: >>> CLICK HERE for more info and the DOWNLOAD links.
    >>> CLICK HERE for the Frequently Asked Questions list.

    >>> CLICK HERE for the CHANGELOG.

    Current features:

    Root:
    - Automatically installs root (SuperUser and su) but can be disabled

    Screen and misc tweaks:
    - Auto-brightness increased slightly (in low-to-mid light)
    - MDNIE screen sharpness and color tuning (improves text readability)
    - init.d, TUN, CIFS, IPV6 Privacy support
    - Fixed freeze on FC problem with Samsung ICS & JB ROMs

    Performance:
    - CPU governor tweaks: increase responsiveness
    - IO tweaks
    - Read ahead tweaks
    - Compiled with optimizations using CodeSourcery GCC toolchain
    - Optimized GPU DVFS
    - ARM CPU topology support
    - SCHED_MC multi-core aware scheduler

Turned off unnecessary logging for better smoothness and efficiency:
    - Disabled Android Debug Logger / logcat
    - Disabled Samsung debug
    - Disabled various kernel debugging, statistics and tracing options

Instructions on how to enable logcat and disable auto-root are in the 3rd post (below).

I'm still here guys. Still using the S3 as my main phone. Just been busy with work and nothing really to update. Maybe when 4.2 roms and sources are out.
