Did you do anything to your phone before trying to root with cf root?

Take the battery out and see what the actual model number is .
# GT- I9300 should be
and also check SSN and post it .

I get the feeling that the phone is not I9300 .

Ok looks like SGS3 I9300 based upon that .


Starting at the beginning .
Can you get to download mode .

If so flash stock rom via Odin as per instructions .

I9300XXALF2 Download (Thanks To SamMobile!)
Base Firmware: I9300XXALF2 (4.0.4)


Or any ICS firmware ..

Ok once you have a clean install try with this older CF root .

Download almost complete and then wil flash it to the device

it realy sucks big time odin v3 or odin v1.85 doesn't make any difference

just downloaded the file you recommend and unzip it.. it's just 1 .tar md5 file so what can go wrong?

I quit for today and continu tomorrow, have been 8 hours trying to make it work..

I will download and unzip the fiule again, just in case i did something wrong...


I just readed that "MD5 hash value is invalid" is because i had a bad download?

Sounds likely, try a redownload

Same download same result

Gonna search for another download...


It hangs at "Get pit for mapping " for 10 minutes again, is it bad to pull te batt or cable? i did that a lott..

some people say that i may NOT unzip the cf root file to .tar.. but if i dont do that than i cannot select it in PDA

RULE ONE ONLY FLASH FIRMWARE FOR YOUR PHONE MODEL .

OSM> SCH-I400-EC07-FROYO-REL-PRODUCTION.tar.md5 is valid.


That is 100000% not SGS3 firmware F6666 its even Froyo firmware .

Your going to have to flash the PIT file, for some reason or another your PIT partition is corrupted.

Use GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit AND THIS PIT ONLY, NOT ANY OTHER!!!
