Unfortunately there is still no good printing solution for Android. In my regard the lack of a reliable way to print documents without cloud is the hottest missing feature of Android. Good luck there already is the awesome CUPS printing system available, unfortunately not for Android.
Would be great if we can get CUPS to Android and make it possible to print directly to the printers in the LAN with PPD.
Minimum goal:
- print PDF, PNG, JPG, TXT files directly to a network attached printer with support for either PostScript 3 or Printer Command Language
- PDF Direct Print 1.4 support could be a first step
I did some research for useful tools we can use. Anyone interested?
