Is there a way too install Cwm or twrp on this tablet
motochopper will allow you to root the APEX AP-GS918.
As for installing CWM/TWRP ... I'm not sure how to do it (but I do know that you will need root before anything else is possible)

PS: I decided to get my dad a tablet for christmas (the APEX) which is normally 149.99, but was on sale for 69.99 ... and I just rooted it using the instructions linked above, just a few moments ago.
It should also be possible to unroot using SuperSu, installed by motochopper.
