NOTE: NITZ Fix by pastime1971 ( for p990 only )
Change I5bb6e423: add NITZ override:
I believe if you don't use Automatic Time but use app lilke clocksync to sync your time, then you don't require to flash the above NITZ fix.a permanent solution for NITZ fix
well, you gotta love all kinds of possible customization in android aka linux.
beside /system/build.prop (which is updated every flash), /data/local.prop can be used to define any custom property.
i moved "ro.telephony.nitz=GMT" to /data/local.prop, which will stay on your phone (almost) permanently.
now you don't have to flash NITZGMT.zip every time you flash cm. just data_local_prop_NITZ_GMT.zip once.
data_local_prop_NITZ_GMT.zip for SU660 0824BB/RIL & SU660 1120BB/RIL users
data_local_prop_NITZ_revert.zip for those who revert back to other BB/RIL
edit: also you can just edit /data/local.prop with any text editor. (just need root)
ClockworkMod Recovery Installation on Windows, Linux and OSX
- Download the zip file above and extract to a directory
- Connect your device and ensure 'USB debugging' is enabled
- WINDOWS - double click 'install-clockworkmod-windows.bat'
- MAC - Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type 'chmod +x install-clockworkmod-mac.sh' followed by './install-clockworkmod-mac.sh'
- LINUX - Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type 'chmod +x install-clockworkmod-linux.sh' followed by './install-clockworkmod-linux.sh'
If you wish, you can also manually install the recovery by pushing the clockworkmod.img file to /data/local/ with adb and running 'dd if=/data/local/clockworkmod.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p7' from a root shell.
Dear valued members of p990 community,
I have come a long way in providing unofficial cm7 support to the p990 community. I remembered the days where other devices moving to cm9 and we stop having nightly builds and thus the beginning of my thread in December 2011. It has been non-stop action for 9 months and I've learnt alot from it.
This build shall be my last unofficial cm7 build (unless the cm gerrit suddently generates lots of interest for me to take a 2nd look) but don't be sad. I've told our p990 community that if RC supports cm10 for our p990 in the near future, I will start a new thread and a new beginning of unofficial cm10. I believe some others will definitely also start cm10 threads but it will NOT stop me from creating one.
I will still be around here till death of my p990.
