Which Android versions of the kernels need maintaining ?

Tested! Great one - i like hardcore implementation (Includes hardcore sharpnes fixes, and black gamma curve adjustment for black crush) in CM10 ROM very much

Works great with cm10 and slimbeam roms. Battery is amazing! 3% over the night with 3g and massive sync. No lags even with hard swap and underclock (I had some with sammy roms and swap). Good work!

Just installed the kernel. Nice installer. I didn't changed any settings, installed as came with the settings. Everything went smooth.

I came from siyaw kernel. That one works greet but it loves my battery and I need my S3 the hole day for work and private.

Am using ParanoidAndroid.

Question:
In the installer u mentioned "Tuner" to check the settings. But which app is it? I found like a bunch with the name Tuner.

Running perfect on aokp. Somehow I get better 3g speeds with this. Does this mean all that build.prop and sysctl.conf tweaks for 3g are Incorporated?

Good impression!

It's been a long time I didn't have a low 1,3%/hour battery draining during night.

You can add Jelly BAM rom on the compatibility list.

I'll have to clean a bit my kernel setting apps lol, setcpu system tuner, it's a little mess around my phone.

Happy to have another aosp designed kernel !

this kernel works great. i tested siyah 1.8 before this, but it kept crashing (got reboots in heavy apps like games or antutu benchmark).

with this one i got no problems at all (even with the OC).

I will keep you posted regarding battery life, crashes and performance :) i like it so far, especially the install routine

That is due to changes it TCP/IP congestion control (by faux123).

Kernel won't change anything in your prop files ;)

Nothing ground-breaking, just one commit that I missed to include for this kernel to be perfectly aligned with the "twin Sammy kernel v2.5" ...

This will just ease the job of CPU controlling apps like SetCPU, System Tuner and such.

  • added scaling_available_frequencies sysfs interface (sorry forgot to include that one...)

no CWM included?

Hi,
thank you very much for the awesome kernel, working great on Rootbox (AOKP).

Is there a reason for CWM is not in Kernel?

I Installed CF-root with CWM 5.5 and thought after installing the kernel my CWM is v.6.
This is no problem for me...just asking, I know i can install cwm separat.

No, it's just the kernel. To be honest, I never quite saw why a kernel would include a recovery (except for Siyah because of dual boot)...

I use TWRP personally, and I'd not really like to have that changed just because I'd try a different kernel ;)

Most recoveries can be flashed using odin (which I'm no friend of, odin I mean), so I just make myself a recovery flashable zip so I can flash a new recovery from my current recovery...

Hi love this Kernel.
But now I'm in a purgatory, because siyah has that eargasm.

Is there any way to port that sound enhancements from siyah to yank555?
Or is my onliest chance for eargasm to switch back to siyah?
