After flashing this rom yesterday, I killed the battery, recharged too 100 then left it sitting on my desk till now. Round about 11 hours.
Everything looked good till i ran CPU Spy.
It seems like the tablet never went into Deep Sleep.
So either some setting i have keeps its from going too bed, which it shouldn't by sitting, or .........

Edit:
When i get back from work around 5:30 CDT
I will run logcat while sitting and see what it is doing while sleeping or lack of ;)

Weird SetCPU issue on this update: I went back into the app to check that my profiles had not been wiped during the update. They weren't, but the maximum clock speed that SetCPU would allow was 1GHz. Strange, as the OC kernel is supposed to be the default. Even rebooting and clearing the caches had no effect.

So, I flashed the OC kernel again, et voila! The OC options are back. No idea what the issue was, but if anyone's having trouble with overclocking on this version, try reinstalling the OC kernel listed in the second post.

Rom Details:
Android 3.2
GPS - V5.5.8
WiFi - V5.2.58
Bluetooth - V6.20
Kernel - 2.6.36.3 (Stock)

This is from the 1st post. Overclock kernel is NOT the default.

As for battery drain issue.....unplugged my tab last night and had 100% on dock and tab. I then watched 3 hours of videos streamed from my server. I then let it sleep for 6 hours with the wifi on and watched another 1 hour of video streamed from server. I now have 20% on the dock and 100% on the tab. My dock does NOT have the battery drain fix and I havent touched any of the settings for mobile data. I also have not checked the battery usage stats because they typically are about as accurate as benchmark scores and completely pointless.

Huh, not really sure if I have a battery drain issue or not...

I flashed 1.9 over 1.8.4 just wiping cache and dalvik. When I left work yesterday (4pm), my transformer was at 100% battery. My wifi disconnect policy is to always stay connected. I went home and it stayed in its sleeve all night, connected to my wifi. This morning I'm at 75% after about 20mins use at the office, about 16.5 hrs on battery.

The 3 applications listed in battery stats are Cell Standby 54%, Bluetooth 25%, and WiFi 20%.

Typically, I don't think my battery would have drained down quite this far when similar situations have occurred.

I checked my mobile network settings and nothing is checked or enabled.

Even though I don't have the 3g version I can turn off mobile data in options and battery seems pretty much the same...

I've added a new link to the OP for an alternative version of Prime 1.9 but with the mobile data stuff not enabled.

This should appease anyone who isn't happy with the Mobile Data showing up in Battery Stats.

I've still not have anyone confirm whether they have had any success with the 3g scripts and a usb dongle which was the whole point of this mod.

@Roach, installed the 1.9 without 3g link in op and it installed v1.8. I checked the md5 and it is correct. I then verified the gps, wifi, and b/t versions, and they are all from v1.8

You must be mistaken.
Check the settings. The version should read: HTJ85B.prime_epad-1.9_no_3g-20110904

I just downloaded it and it's the right version.

Any chance of NFS support? I hacked it in manually on 3.1. and file transfers were literally 3 times quicker than CIFS :)

Thanks!

Hi.

Unfortunately hardware h264/AAC decode got broken in the current Asus HC3.2 builds. So you're probably using a soft decoder now, which simply can't handle HD of this type - 720 or 1080. Asus (after a battle proving it was a problem!) have told me they plan to fix it in the next release. No date given though. Only choice is to downgrade to 1.6R2 until Asus restores hw decoding or download and transcode :(

@Roach, here's what's happening. I flashed v1.9_no3g and all is good - all items in the settings menu are for v1.9. I then flashed the oc kernel in post 2 and it reverts all items in the settings menu to v1.8 status - version, gps, wifi, b/t, etc. Is this normal? Is it really reverting to v1.8, or is this just a txt error?

Ahh, that is perfectly normal. The OC kernel is based on the newest available source which has older drivers than the 1.9 stock kernel.

That's because he included a build.prop with the kernel and that is overwriting the current 1.9 showing everything as 1.8 even though none of those files changed. I found this issue using Roach's kernel (which is much more stable on my TF than clemsyn's) on Revolver. So you have to open the zip and remove the build.prop before flashing and you will have the 1.8 OC kernel and it will still say 1.9.

@ Roach, per your response to 24601, you only include the kernel modules (battery_rvsd.ko, bcm4329.ko, scsi_wait_scan.ko) not anything else in the kernel zip file, besides the kernel of course, so I still think it is the build.prop which includes version numbers.

Wowzers, just have my first sleep of death in maybe 2 months. I had gone to a meeting and came back to my desk. Power button was completely unresponsive. I think I had left BeyondPod open and a podcast paused.

Had to hold the power button in for 20 seconds or so to force a reboot.

Running Prime 1.9 (w/mobile data) and netarchy's kernel for HC 3.2

I have spare parts in my apps list and working fine.

Mark.

What problem do you have with the Music Player? Mine opens up fine and plays music as expected. If you are having problems with any built in apps when updating then I would sugest doing a wipe and then flashing the rom again.

Mark.

thanks just saw your reply. Well recently did a wipe but basically when i first flash a rom the player populates with the music fine. Then after a while when i open the app the album art flashes on and off like its loading up then starts to load again. Becomes unusable. Just me?

    5. Install the ROM
    6. Reboot and wait... The more apps you have installed the longer the first boot will take... Please note that after the lock screen comes up your TF may be sluggish for a minute while the rom initialises.
    7. Install any available patch versions for cumulative updates between full releases.

Note that this only works from the home screen and looks weird when you go in to standby from within an app.
If you display does bork then sometimes a long press of the power button (2 secs) brings it back. Once though my display blacked out and I had to hard reboot the tab.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NVFLASH VERSION CAN ONLY BE USED ON AN SBK1 DEVICE

Q: Do I need to root before I flash this.
A: No, Simply use the Latest NVFLASH version available to install a custom rom and clockworkmod recovery. Then if required, upgrade to the latest version of Prime.

Q: Do I need to wipe before installing Prime?
A: In general a wipe should not be required if you are upgrading from an earlier version of Prime but if you experience any sluggishness or are coming from another rom then a wipe Should be performed before installing the rom. My advice is to take a backup before installing any rom, give it a try and if you get any errors or issues then perform a factory reset either from Settings - Privacy or perform a wipe from Clockworkmod Recovery.

Q: Do 3G USB Dongles work with this
A: Currently only HUAWEI dongles are working. The 3G settings can be activated by using the 3G Toggler App.

A: Zion is where free humans live.

In general, it is ok to remind members to ask questions in the General or Q&A section of a forum. It is NOT ok to make them point of ridicule if they make a mistake.
