Fixing/Optimizing

1) “Fix Permissions”

Runs a command that corrects all file permissions in Android. Can also cause trouble but usually it helps with issues.

2) “Zipalign all APK’S”

Runs the “zipalign” process on all user apk’s. This can be handy as not all App Devs do a zipalign and that makes the APK behave bad on memory. Zipaligning them can make them run better in memory.

System

1) “Mount Sytem r/w”

Mounts the System with Read and Write permissions for file browsers. This can potentially be dangerous because malware could abuse that but on the other hand, its helpful too if you like messing with your system and malware could also execute this command anyway, since you already run the device as root user.

2) “Disable Logcat”

Disables the logcat of the system. Makes it a little faster and use a wee bit less juice but you won’t be able to provide your Dev with a LogCat if you have problems. These logs are incredibly helpful for debugging. So just try it out if it betters anything for you.

Wipes

1) “Wipe Cache”

As the name suggests, this wipes the cache partition. Saves you a reboot into recovery.

2) “Wipe Dalvik Cache”

See above!

Font

Install a custom font pack (this option was enabled when you downloaded a font from HUB)

Boot

1) “Custom boot animation”

Lets you pick a custom bootanimation. Those can also be obtained via the Hub for example.

2) “Custom Down Animation”

Same as above for down animation.

3) “Enable Boot sound”

4) "Custom boot sound"

CPU

Apply settings on boot (Automatically applies CPU and file system settings on phone boot includes boot-loop protection

File System

1) "I/O Scheduler

You can choise your preferred I/O (ex noop) [at the moment, there is only noop because htc hasn't relase source code yet

CPU/Kernel Settings

1) "CPU Governor"

You can choise your preferred Governor (ex. ondemand, powersave, etc)

2-3) "CPU Min/Max Frequency"

You can choise your preferred CPU's frequency

4) "CPU Screen off max"

Values of cpu when the screen is off

All tweaks are mentioned, happy customization! :victory::victory:

Already asked this in the ROM thread but will re-post here for the sake of making use of this FAQ thread. Hope somebody can answer me.

Been checking out all the changelogs since 3.3.1 but I can't seem to find any mentions about the fix for the following 2 bugs;

1. Notifications overlapping a centered clock. (Does not exist pre-3.3.x)
2. Appearance of 3-dot menu on apps that have implemented them on the top-right corner.

I'm sorry if this question has been repeatedly asked in one way or another. Cheers

Presume for the 3 dot thing you mean you've tried turning it on in Tweaks but that doesn't stick and the 3 dot in top right hand corner doesn't appear on, say, Google Play ?

If so. I have the same issue. I think the team is aware but I'm less certain they will ever come here to look given how fed up they are in the main thread.

Hello everyone last night I performed a clean install from scratch to better understand what could be the causes of the continuous FC clock widget ...
As always I did clean cache and flashed the boot from the bootloader, in recovery I did a full wipe compressed memory card ....
I installed the rom and I restarted .....
When you first start after entering my account it says that my sd memory problems must be formatted (not sure if I touched qlk in recovy type unmount sd) to format it and start the phone and update .....
After the last update the phone is fine, so I decide to install the Theme Red Viper Jb 3.2.1. and I think I found the problem because now no force close ......
Let me explain the Viper Rom contains two types of clocks with weather;
1) a normal one and
2) a transparent .....
Theme red instead makes them both transparent .......
I noticed that at least the Fc enl my phone was when I chose the second gave me the FC so I took it off, I went into active management I finished and put on the screen princiale the 1 .......

I'll keep you updated Thanks

In add widgets, clock is missing, no clock widget whatsoever.

Can anyone help.

BTW I did search, read FAQ etc. There is similar issues but I can't find a solution to this.

Thanks.

That can happen when you don't wipe before updating rom.
But can be solved by clearing data of Sens in apps list.
That will get all widgets back but you have to setup all your pages again.

as far as i can remember you can only use call recording if a kernel enables that feature...only remember that from the s2 days were kernel had to be compatible to be able to call record

You don't mention exactly which game it is, but there are a bunch of games that aren't compatible with the Nvidea chipset.
Take a look here, maybe it is a solution for you:

Re: [ViperX]Q&A ViperX

When i have "custom app notifications" enabled on my lockscreen, my screen wakes up every time I receive a message. Is there a way to disable this? Or maybe for next update?

Also this: when i installed the rom, i choose to remove sense, and use apex instead, I try to enable transparent status bar on homescreen, but it wont recognize apex as a homescreen. I can only make it transparent if i enable transparent status bar on apps.

Great idea ;) hopefully it will keep the main page Clean

Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

We should also try to avoid unneccessary posts to keep this new thread clean ;)

By the way, the list of bugs and workarounds should be added to the first page here. I think a moderator posted it on ViperX thread around pages 420-430.

Download notifications keep popping up even after being swiped away,

also lock screen music widget doesn't let you use the controls.

Sometimes takes a couple of tries to wake the phone up after screen off.

other than that its cool

3.3.3 btw !

    2) “Zipalign all APK’S”

Runs the “zipalign” process on all user apk’s. This can be handy as not all App Devs do a zipalign and that makes the APK behave bad on memory. Zipaligning them can make them run better in memory.

Mounts the System with Read and Write permissions for file browsers. 2) “Disable Logcat”

Disables the logcat of the system. Makes it a little faster and use a wee bit less juice but you won’t be able to provide your Dev with a LogCat if you have problems. These logs are incredibly helpful for debugging. So just try it out if it betters anything for you.
