[root]Galaxy Note 2 on Android 4.3 without tripping Knox

This method has been tested by me, on Galaxy Note 2 N7100 running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

After root 1st make a efs backup and put in a safe place. in attach you have an working tool to do this!!!

!!! This will NOT set the Knox warranty void flag !!!

What you need:

>>> install kies or USB driver from here (skip if you have this)
>>> enable USB debugging mode (go to settings > about phone > tap on Build Number 7 times, until a message appears saying 'You are now a Developer.')
>>> go to settings > Developer Options and enable USB Debugging Mode


how to root:

1 - download root exploit from attach or from original thread
2 - extract the root exploit package using WinRAR / 7-zip
3 - connect the phone to computer
4 - navigate to the extracted directory and double click install.bat file
5 - follow the on-screen instructions


make the system status: official

> install xposed installer
> install wanam exposed
> activate wanam exposed from xposed installer
> go into wanam exposed - security hacks - system - fake system status

* or try this (have not tried)

* also you will get system status: official by revert to stock rom with odin

The only change will be custom flag!

successfully rooted my note 2, deodexed stock rom and a little of customization on official rom. no counter flash, no knox flag :victory: :good: :fingers-crossed:

Has any one install knox or factory resetting after rooting thru above mentioned method ?

Just for curiosity. ... though I installed knox on my unrooted stock device... its almost like TrueCrypt software...
After installing knox ; I reset the device and it was gone like never installed. ..

ByTheWay do we need to run Triangle Away to make the status Official ?

Custom Binary Download: Yes (1 counts)
Current Binary: Samsung official
System Status: Official
KNOX Warranty void: 0

Rom is:
PDA: N7100XXUEMK9
CSC: N7100OROEML1
MODEM: N7100BVUEMK1

I would like to reset the download configuration mode to:

Custom Binary Download: No (0 counts)
Current Binary: Samsung official
System Status: Official
KNOX Warranty void: 0

root your phone and use triangle away to reset binary download
to make system status: official just flash stock rom again
