im facing trouble with gps, its not getting my location.
this happens everytime i install a new rom, any suggestions to fix this? i've fixed it everytime by trial and error. but these methods dont always work

Gps problems are from mebitek's rom..
@bravovn and siznex.. Just a suggestion, maybe you can try kittenlinux's latest builds as base.. he has fixed gps issue on mebitek's.. and the other one with squadzone's config is smooth as well.. either of the 2 builds will sure be a good base..

official has better battery life and doesn't have music distortion problems. Use that. I am currently using miui with base as official cm7 RC1. Smooth as butter.

Not sure if the official cm supports overclocking yet. Heard its very stable. So if u want to add overclock to the next version, u might want to use kittenlinux cm.

Kittenlinux's.. latest official nightly still use old squadzone kernel so sound distortion is all around.. please try the one with squadzone config on ktux's build..

hmm, just want to ask, many be noob question, but still, is it essential to have CM7 as base?? i mean CM 7 has many features in cyanogen settings that doesnt work on MIUI, so whats the point in using this as a base, just being curious. its a bit awkward to see cyanogen setting in MIUI, is it possible to remove this setting, so far i only found its usefulness in overclocking. will someone clarify??
Ok this is what i found. When i go to mms.apk > Settings > Advanced settings > SMS center number then force close. And after that, music.apk not fully resized to ldpi. Some chinese languange still present when i long press home button

Miui can't run without cm7.. so it is essential to have it as a base. Miui sits on top of cm7.. cmmiiw.. but I agree with you about cm settings and its usefulness.. maybe it can be disabled and just use 3rd party apps for oc..

-If you changed lockscreen and can't unlock phone. Don't worry, just use another -phone call to your phone, answer it and press HOMEBUTTON, and endcall->OK.
-You can use lockscreen LDPI of Milocker, put it in MIUI/theme . Custom->Lockscreen->Change it->Cool.
-Milocker now support Ldpi devices. So you can use it, milocker can use all theme of miui.
HOW TO SET THEME FOR CLOCK WIDGET:
-Press long on the screen and add widget (clock 2x2 or 2x1) then touch the clock, you will go to the theme choose of clock, choose theme->OK.
IF YOUR ICONS IS SMALL WHEN YOU CHANGE ANY THEME
OR WHEN CHANGE THEME BUT BACKGROUND OF ICON IS STILL BG OF OLD THEME.
-Use a root explorer go to data/system/customized_icons delete anyfile in this folder. Go to theme choose and choose theme, the icon will have a new background of theme.
IF YOU WANT TO RENAME THE CARRIER ON STATUSBAR

IF SOME APP CAN'T INSTALL. LET TRY THIS WAY:
-Use root explorer place apk (app will install) in system/app and set permission to rw-r-r and reboot the phone.
