[LIST-2]Music Players For Android!![/LIST-2]

I always wondered if there was any good music player which is much more smoother than the stock music player. With my playlist having over 1000 songs, it becomes monotonous to really go through all the list. There might be many over here which would be having the same issues. So, I decided to give them some of the options/alternatives for the stock player. Here is a list of almost all the music players. Rather I should say that there is a variety from choose from.

big thanks! yesterday i began a quest to find the "perfect player". i've tried many, but sifting through all the add-ons and themes for the players makes searching very tiring. thanks for the list, guess i'll get back to work!

here's one i've found that could be on your list; Cloudskipper. there is only a free version. clean, quick, and ad-free.

Jukefox might make it to the list as well, i used to use that but it seemed to be missing something. it just didn;t make me want to listen to my music like cloudskipper does. now i'm just looking for something with more features. always looking for the better mouse trap i suppose, haven't found anything i like better yet. but this thread certainly helps!

Rockbox is my one and only choice for music player since it supports most (if not all) audio codecs (other players don't support WavPack, while Rockbox does. That just shows how wide its range of supported codecs). Plus, the simple and no-nonsense interface makes it very easy to navigate.

It also has a very advanced audio settings such as crossfeed, dithering, equalizer (with some pre-loaded eqs), bass gain, treble gain, balance gain, channel config, crossfade, and more.

It also supports playing gapless audio flawlessly. Or should I say, its the perfect audio player for Android?

Currently it is still in heavy development and is not available in the Market. I recommend you to give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

EDIT : I also forgot to mention that Rockbox is the only player which I've tried and found out that its audio quality is whole lot better than other players.

Is there a music player that will also play videos on SHUFFLE/RANDOM?

It would be cool if it played them with video as well, but not necessary. Audio tracking is fine, pulled from the video file.

Is there any player that is optimized to listen very heavy music? I mean metalcore hardcore etc. i have poweramp but presets are bad and when trying to set the equalizer its just wrong whatever i do. Thanks for info

Poweramp is one of the most popular music players and is nice too

for phones with good config.
