Awesome Permanent CWM
Thank you so much,Reallyyy indebted,Permanent CWM was a dream that faded away.But you came brought light to us.
Kernel didn't boot, but CWM remained.The best thing I can flash stock from CWM.

Please clarify sir. You flashed the new kernel then installed the ext4.zip but it did not boot so you reverted back to stock kernel and the cwm remained and is working with stock kernel now? Is that what happened sir? If so its very nice!

well first of all thks a lot MAROC for taking out some time and investing it on building cool kernel for galaxy y
now i checked ur latest release well it boots no issues but dunn know it gets some speed if usb is connected to PC and boots fast
kernel version is 2.6.35.7 root@ ubuntu#60
now 1st thing i noticed is i lost my BASE BAND it happened wid ur previous release 2 well the issue is some how it ticks flight mode on and in settings if i try 2 untick it it says enabling wireless connections but sadly it nevers turn dem on and after screen sleep if i try 2 awake it again den again i find flight mode on stuff
secondly CWM is working flawlessly it has issues first but aftr rebooting once it works like charm[thxs to MAI for finding this one] and glad dat it replaced stock recovery
thirdly like u directed i flashed EXT4 zip frm CWM recovery it says installation aborted well 2 be precise the exact error is E:Error in /sdcard/Ext4.zip (status 7) Installation aborted
so overall cool kernel hope u notice dis issues and fix
BTW i checked it on STOCK ROM DDLA3

this is my personal thought. I think It would be so nice if the dev (merruk an vivek) also release the source code to public (it doen't mean anything for me since I don't understand any programming stuff here) but it would really help if other dev comes and give us some help here. in this way both merruk and vivek could also focus in different aspect developing the new kernel.

sir i wud say when u flash it let da phone connected 2 pc via USB dunn know any logic behind dis but i noticed if u leave phone connected 2 pc vis USB it boots up freaking fast and use STOCK ROM to flash it and plz do post ur experience so dat we can create gud log and wud be easy for MAROC to rectify and solve dem
Root privilege is gone, SU has force close in updating binary,Titanium back has no root excess.Gonna flash a stock Rom.
you don't have to reflash your device...you can reroot by update.zip file provided in this forum or using superoneclick from shortfuse.
sir try 2 flash update.zip [rooting s/w] instead of flashing new rom chk whether flashing that solves ur issues well in ma case it was base band so had 2 revert back 2 stock again but if ur rom has base band intact den rooting s/w shud solve ur issue i guess itz soft root so dis issue newayz just a thought

It appears there is a bug in CWM.

what? where are the others? I thought there are so many tester here. thats the reason I've decided to move on vivek's.
yeah i 2 tried but no luck newayz SU BINARIES are outdated and getting error while updating this is probably the reason for not getting rooting privilege and secondly i 2 flashed fresh stock rom as i lost baseband aftr flashing dis and yeah i know it wont brick as i ma self posted in ma previous post entire stuff abt dis kernel

I tried to flash your latest build in creeds rom and DXLB1 Firmware but still, stuck at boot logo.,,but the CWM working fine.,I used Mai77, Faqbly and Odin method but the same result., hope it will fix soon sire,. btw, you're awesome Sir

Hello Everybody's.
I am New in XDA-DEV this is my first day (I HAVE 3 WEEK'S NOW) & my first post was a NEW CUSTOM KERNEL for Samsung Galaxy Y in a thread on General Section, it was just a test. but we to got a perfect kernel for this Device.
We Need Testers and devs to help with ideas or anything you can.
Let's talk about this kernel.

HOW TO INSTALL :
Instructions :
1 : Put the Ext4.zip on Your SD-Card. (SKIP IT : NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NOW)
2 : Extract The Content of Sustem.zip to the Root of your SD-Card (DRIVE_LETTER:/system). LINK ADDED BELOW.
3 : Flash the Kernel Via Odin (YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT THERE IS MANY OTHER METHODS).
4 : Boot into CWM Recovery.
5 : Install Ext4.zip.(SKIP IT : NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NOW)
6 : Wipe DATA & CACHE (NOT NEDDED BUT PREFERABLE).
7 : Don't Worry @ The First Boot, You Need To Reboot TWICE.
8 : Check the Stability & Speed.
9 : ENJOOOOOOY.
FOR THE 1.0.8 VERSION AND ABOVE:
You will see a new folder on the rot of the SD Card Called (scripts)
this folder is for the scripts you want add them into init.d folder.
all you need is put the scripts you want into it and reboot twice.

Flash the Kernel with any method you want (Odin, Mai77, or Faqbly).
For better speed install ext4.zip
For better performance install system-1.0.8.zip
Reboot Twice Enjoy.
If you have a fresh install (Stock Rom) you need to do it (Install System.zip from 1.0.8) but if you have an old rom that have already the system folder (Kernel Modules) installed on it it's not a problem.51MT Kernel Developer Edition 4 ( v.2.5 )
Hello Guys Uploading The New Kernel
This One are relly Good you need to test all things and see if the performance are increased
Notice : Superuser.apk removed so if you wana root the device just put you new files in :
/system/rooting
we support : su, busybox and Superuser.apk in that folder
For ext4 this one are really do the job
To convert you STL blocks you need to do this :
1) - Make a Nandroid Backup.
2) - Install the attached EXT4 Zip file.
3) - Restore your Nandroid Backup.
4) - Flash the PDA.merruk.tar (cause the nandroid backup will flash back your old kernel)
5) - Enjoy The New Speed
This File do 2 things for ext4, & reset the custom bin counter (Bin file used from docky Thanks for him), and finally Flash the kernel.
Convert the blocks to ext4 filesystem, and tune the filesystems with ext4 specs
You can easely turn you system to ext3/2 to have more speed (ext2 is better cause no journal there so it turns fast recording to the checks found in internet)
For Kernel if you used the EXT4 Zip File you are done, if not flash the PDA file attached via Odin.
After Installing please let the system take the time nedded to full booting and reboot twice to take effects

guys please read carfully it's not for noobs.
if you wanna convert your blocks the partitions system/data/cache will be formated and converted to ext4, the Ext4_Converter-signed.zip attached also flash the kernel.
if you don't wanna be in ext4 FS just flash the attached kernel as pda (PDA.merruk.tar).
