Popsicle Craft Stick Sony Xperia ZR Dock
OK, you guys inspired me!
Here's my DIY Sony Xperia ZR Dock!
The design is "double fault tolerant" if that's the correct wording. As you can see from the closeup, there are 2 springy levers for each charging contact; they are made from paperclips. One is the shape of an L with a hairpin loop to contact the phone. The other is an L which is slightly bent away from the surface to not touch the first L; this one is connected to the USB power wire. When the phone is docked, it will deflect the first L into the second L, thus completing the circuit!
I was going to glue some more popsicle sticks to the back (maybe with weight) to enable it to stand in portrait an landscape mode. But I just put this under my monitor and it fits perfectly there and happens to lean a little forwards too cuz of the base!
