This will be an ongoing collection of themes for the LG Home launcher. Note: Currently working on JB 4.2.2, some users are reporting issues with the weather widget in 4.4.2.

Themes are not tested nor recommended on G3 ROM ports

Terminal Themed LG Widgets
Terminal Themed Google Search Widget
Theme best when used with an oldschool terminal style font. For myself, I'm using clacon.ttf but the font size may be too small for some of you. The theme is selects roboto as the baseline font so whether you manually replace roboto in /system/fonts or you use a font installer app (I used Font Installer from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.font.installer).

To install Search Widget, you must replace your stock LGSearchWidgetProvider.apk - MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!!! (copy the original file from /system/app to the root of your SD card, your download directory, anywhere you want but please, make a backup). RENAME LGSearchWidgetProviderTerminal.apk to LGSearchWidgetProvider.apk and follow the procedure below.
I use ES File Explorer and simply copy the file from my download directory, navigate to /system/app and then paste the new LGSearchWidgetProvider.apk and overwrite what's there. Next you MUST change permissions to rw-, r--, r-- and reboot. If you don't reboot, you'll find you're missing the search widget altogether. If you don't see the widget, you forgot reboot or you forgot to set the permissions.

Font Install Procedure:
Root Required, make a backup of /system/fonts directory to be safe (Font Installer allows you to do this through the app)
Install Font Installer (or similar) from Play Store (link above) and replace Roboto with Clacon or similar terminal-style font.
Reboot

Alternate technique to install font, replace Roboto.ttf in /system/fonts through ES File Explorer, Root Explorer, etc, or ADB push

Open downloads folder through file manager of your choice
Install the APK (do not bother "opening" as there is nothing to open)
Once installed, exit out of your file manager and go back to your homescreen
Push the menu button and select "theme"

Thanks guys! These do take a little time to put together so I was thinking of doing some paid and some free. Perhaps the free version would offer a handful of icons and the paid version having a bunch.

What do you think? Would you be down for, say, $1 a piece?

Any suggestions on theme concepts?

Icons, wallpaper, and homescreen menus. I'm looking into if I can do more with the sdk, the theming app is pretty limited.

I'll check out the thread, thanks! As for adding more icons, I decompiled the apk and it looks doable, I'm not a developer though so I have some trial and error testing ahead of me.

Just an fyi, I don't have much free time but I definitely will be pursuing this. Keep the input coming, it's much appreciated! !

There is an English patch that fixes much of the Korean. I don't speak a lick of Korean either, lol.

I have an idea brewing... gonna take some work but I'm hoping to put some time in over the weekend. Might put this one in the Play Store and might need some beta testing

That is partly what I'm looking into this weekend. No theme will be able the theme everything, but I definitely want to try to theme more on install.
