MP3 ringtones

I've trying to get custom mp3 ringtones to work with no luck. The files are in ringtones-folder on external SD and they show on the list where i can choose them. But when i reboot the phone, they aren't on the list anymore and the ringtone doesn't work.

Put them on the internal card. The external card is probably not mounted by the time the ringtone is set at boot.

One question: how is possible, that my external sd card show me old deleted files before and no present files on it? And where was these files? Because they are fully functional! Is there some way how to use now external sd card? My still dont work. Phone recognize it but it shows that is empty on file manager but on storage in setings it shows some used memory... zhx a lot!!!

First of all: external sd is mounted with /emmc and /mnt/emmc - not "external_sd".
Second: there is still a bug regarding the media scanner: after a few reboots, all media files on the external sd are shown twice or more often. There were indications that this can be avoided if you try the same structure (/Music, /Pictures, ...) on the external sd as on the internal sd, but the duplicates come back sooner or later.

From my point of view, at least at the moment, the external sd is not usable for such files (I just use it for the navigon files atm) - hopefully this bug will be adressed sooner or later as it is quite annoying.

Best regards,
ww
The only workaround is to put media files on the internal sd.

Yes i know that bug about media files - all media i put on the internal sd. But the most strange for me was that comes back files on this card what there wasnt (i deleted tham before when i was on gamerz rom) - so its impossible or not? Thank very much for explaining where now i can find external sd directory :) very usefull advice from u :) i will wait without using external sd until this problem will be solved...

Bug Report - Tethering broken

Edit: Not a bug

First off, great Rom, very stable, I love it, many thanx.
Now,
USB Tethering does not work - it detects pc connected to fone, click the checkbox and it shows connected for a millisecond, and then turns it off.
WiFI hotsport doesent work - when you enable it, you get a message sayin "Turning WiFi on" which immidiately then changs to "Turning WiFi off".

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I am on Semaphore ICS 0.9.0, could that have anything to do with this?
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
What do I do to fix it, if its not a Rom issue and can be fixed?

Allright, you're supposed to enable netfilter in the Semaphore application to get Tethering to work. Thanx to Karletto66 for pointing this out :)

Question to the people having issues with people not hearing them when receiving calls. Are you using a headset or is the issue actually with the phone itself? Have you tried another modem?

Also, support is only on stock kernel. We need to rule out the fact of custom kernels.

Run this command in adb:

Code:
logcat -b radio > log.txt

Also, if you could capture some logs that would be great. ##icssgs on freenode as well.

NOTICE: We apologize for the lack of updates recently, we just want to make it clear that development has under NO circumstances stopped. We are absolutely still working on this and still supporting it. Thank you for your patience.

    Team ICSSGS

    -- DemonWav -- Nushor -- Onecosmic -- PaulForde -- RaymondDull -- Trae32566 --

This ROM is based directly on the source code straight from Google themselves, the way Android is meant to be. This ROM is produced by a collaboration of many different people, with the main development being done by Onecosmic himself. We strive to bring releases as often as possible and provide a stable AOSP ROM. As this is a work in progress, bugs are to be expected! Please check the known issue's before posting/reporting bugs.

Source code can be found here

If you can, please donate a small amount via paypal, we do this for fun and this is optional but it is greatly appreciated and it is a way for you to contribute. If you want us to support another Galaxy S type phone and you have an extra of it, we may consider supporting the phone if you donated it to us to work on. If you think you have a phone that we could support, PM me or any other Team ICSSGS members and we will discuss the possibility of us supporting it.

We do not support anything that is not produced by us!

Ok, work sucks, life not but takes time and so on...

Here i am after getting a couple of minutes to post :)

Lets start with a couple of things:

Battery issues: If you don't complete 2 full charge cycles (discharge to 0 and charge to 100% 2 times) please do not complain about battery life, all android versions needs this in order to calibrate battery comsumption, this is mandatory.

Brightness: I know is darker and have steps not working, i'll fix that, not sure if with an update or in the full release (again, lack of time)

Wifi tether: does not work yet, its a mater of time.

USB tether, worked for me all day today, no mayor issues. anyhow i'll try to check with other users to see what happens.

Voodoo color kernel: it was compiled due to request from several users, i dont like it and i dont have time to check why the gamma tables get screwed, you can adjust them using voodoo control apk. :)

T9 on dialer: wip, again, not sure if update or next release.

Dictionary, there is a update that someone put on the thread, please take a look, it works without issues.

TV Out: i'll get a cable today to test, i dont have one until now so i was not able to test it :)

Media Scanning: i'll check on that (slowness, memory consumption and duplicate names).

Besides of the things above, i have a i9000b phone (almost the same as i9000, minor differences) its complicate to diagnose problems in vibrant or captivate without having the device, so far i know that gps does not work on cappy i'll try to o my best, but again, without having the devices is difficult to test everything.

    Cheers!
