Re: [ROM][WiFi][AOKP/CM][4.2.1] Dirty RootBox v1.0 [Aroma][Per-App-DPI/Tab][PIE][02/0

Not really sure about performance compared to Dirty AOKP yet. I will continue Dirty AOKP for now, we'll see how much work 2 ROMs is(well 3 with Dirty AOKP Tilapia). If it becomes too much I may have to drop one, but not any time soon.

I know, me too!

Also everyone please remember this is a initial release, may be some stuff it iron out, or not. :)

Any plans of adding Dirty Rootbox for tilapia?would like to try it:)

in the words of Barney Stinson "Challenge Accepted!". Although i get off work in 45 minutes from graveyard shift then its my weekend. unfortunatly I am more man than machine like yourself so it could take a couple days. Btw i see dual pane listed in the OP but cant seem to find it in the rom control or regular display options. Not really a huge deal as vanilla rootbox doesnt have this implemented either:p

160 DPI will get you dual pane'

I like Goo being included in "settings".....one more app I can get out of my drawer.

Edit: well, forget that......won't let delete the app.

I haven't tried using Xposed for changing the settings DPI to 160 for dual panel. That is a better idea than changing the build-prop though for this ROM.

Gonna try that now and report back.

I will be hopefully when AOKP goes official for evita or AOSPA goes v3.0, not sure yet though. We'll see, that would be awesome and really fun to do some dev for my phone.

Not supported for RootBox yet, when it is, sure. :)

Instruction for Dual Panel in Dirty RootBox

BTW you must use the Xposed Installer to use the Xposed settings ;)

In Xposed settings, under the Settings app: Dual Panel comes out at Screen (dp,px): 1000x1600 @ ANY DPI!!!...

I think it may have faster execution of the settings vs PA. Possibly, I'm not sure. But these settings are amazing. 180 looks good for Settings app. You could also set ROM Conrol and more. Give it a shot.

Tips for when using Pie Controls

Go to ROM Control/Navigation Bar, then scroll to the bottom. Adjust the Nav Bar height and Nav Bar height landscape to 0 dp(off). This will remove it from the black Nav Bar from the lockscreen while in expanded desktop mode with/without pie controls.

You can also remove the Statusbar by entering Tablet UI in Rom Control/General UI, select UI Mode, then Tablet. This will remove the Statusbar and we already know how to hide the Nav Bar so now your lockscreen will no longer have a Statusbar or Nav Bar. This allows the ROM to be more consistent while using Pie Controls.

This will also remove the Trigger area you see while using Pie Controls. Removing the Nav Bar only can get rid of this.

I will add this to Post #2.

WOW

This is my first time with pie control. I've been a slow convert to tablet mode in general and now I'm trying to wrap my mind around full screen mode. It's taking time to find combos of Dirty/Rootbox/Apex settings to find settings that work for me. There is some frustration. For instance if I put pie on the right sometimes I can't bring it up because the screen scrolls. On the bottom if I set the trigger to large I can't always access screen elements, like the login-in button for XDA.

But it is fun to have a whole new set of things to tweak on the N7

Read the post I just edited above yours, You can get rid or that visible trigger area by setting Nav Bar height to 0 dp. Also I would NOT set trigger area to large, no point.

On your last sentence I think you meant 'I wouldn't set trigger area to large'. ?
