Great thread Shan89, I'm going to give your suggestions a go later when I get an hour as I've had a max of 2hrs 20 screen on our of my One X.
I've been debating if to modify all my repacks to ensure the devs recommended governor and scheduler are used but not sure if I can dedicate the time to it. I will see over the coming weeks how things go.
Well i wouldn't modify ramdisk unless the only thing that gonna change is default governor/ scheduler, kinda easier using setCpu , besides i change alot my gov/sched so not worth it for me, tho enabling fast charge/read ahead/ does kinda help since im lazy each time to do it manually. Anyway i'm sure you'll be hiting over 4:30+ screen on time if you follow my guide properly, between remember for now stable XM versions are 106# and i'd say 111#. Everything above you can consider as BETA and for thus i can't guarantee this screen on time.
Very nice topic! Makes me think about the good old days overclocking my E8400
But what's the difference on your phone without undervolting? Maybe you get 5h45m without the undervolting en 6h with undervolting? It could be you just have a great HOX in terms of SoC, battery etc.
Well yeah , kind of lol, with my extreme UV i maybe get around 20-30 extra screen on time, but the main reason for UV is to keep it cool when gaming, tho if you're a reader undervolting gonna mean a bit more since you'll be using mostly 51/475 freqs for reading and those barly use any power, it's like reading while phone is in the deep sleep. It can push screen on time over 9-10 but no one gonna read that long
As for my hox being *special* etc , nah not really , i used to have similar screen on time as other ppl , avarage 3:30 - 4h , now i'm hiting avarage 5:30/6 hrs heavy usage, light goes up to 7+ , but my rom/kernel and so on have lots of mods added/tweeking etc.
Another thing , i think HoXes who were baby cared more then mine could hit more then i do , i've been abusing my HOX alot with chrager + gaming and that sure does kill your battery
- And thx for the positive feedback
