I updated my Z1 to build number 14.3.A.0.681 2 weeks ago through PCC, but today I got a notification on my phone and also when plugged into PCC saying a new system update is available, the same 14.3.A.0.681

Should I update again? if not, how do I get rid of the notifications?

there is something new in this "update": a new junk app. but that's it. so no need to update, but you probably have to just to get rid of the notification...

i guess your device is c6903 hong kong right?

So I ended up updating it. Don't see any difference. But I did notice I can change my lockscreen wallpaper now. Before the first KK update, I had that bug. Hope everything works fine now.

How big is that update?
I got it to and its about 260Mb.

By the way i thought that when you are rooted an unlocked(4.3) device you didnt get an ota.
Or will you get it, but when you proceed the update there will be an error?

FYI. Just clean cache of the update app to get rid of the notification.

I don't rmb how big it was, I just clicked install after download. lol

My device is unlocked and I never did any rooting.

So far, everything seems to be working fine, no lockscreen bug and also no speaker bug from before.

Never do an OTA if you have unlocked the bootloader. Its OK if you are rooted, just not unlocked.

Thnx gregbradley.

I wasnt planning to. Far to many problems that i read around. Especially the external card problem. Im happy with 4.3, allthough the update addiction is itching. LOL

OTA updates are separate to PCCompanion updates.

OTA tends to be small bug fixes (But there have been full FW's done that way)

The problem is that OTA updates require to use some partition on the device whilst PCCompanion updates can use the PC...
