Ginger yoshi 1.5 (android 2.3.5) for 32b and 32a old and new radio ^_^

Posted this before but one last time with specifics
I have the MyTouch 1.2, only way I can get it to boot is to:
superwipe twice using Ohsaka-SuperWipe_v2.zip
flash rom (i used RC4 and RC5 both successfully)
flash ezterry kernel (ezBiffTestKernel20101024-ebi0_S.zip)
boot up fully and let everything sync (some say you don't have to... i did and IT WORKS)
reboot into recovery and then flash pershoot latest kernel (boot-cm_2635.11_ds_32b-oc-uv-xtra-ram-fp-020711.zip)

Be patient! The first time you boot up after flashing rom+ezterry it will take a while to boot up.

Thanks so much, first time I've been able to actually boot into the OS. I actually found these similar instructions on CM's site(forum) and I did a single wipe and installed the ezterry kernel and I'm in right now, but it's greenish. I'm going to now install the preshoot kernel now and hopefully that will work.

Really appreciate the information and looks like it's going to work

So I did the next things:

1) Flash new radio+spl using RadioSwitcher
2) Flash "32a kernel.zip" from your download host
3) Flash "Ginger yoshi 1.0 RC4.zip"

And my Magic keeps showing the bootscreen animation. Did I forget to do something here?

I have a HTC Magic 32A. Not sure if I forgot important information.

(I managed to install the Diet Gingerbread (old radio), but I want to try this one too

)

First superwipe, then Flash Yoshi and then the Kernel..
(Hope you have the right radio, spl and kernel combination for your phone.)

I know the radio and spl are compatible, dont know about the kernel.. What do you suggest?

Stop....This Rom is only for old radio/spl!!! Flash old radio/spl then it would be ok.

second Stop... The Rom has a kernel for 32b inside. So you have to flash the rom then flash the 32A kernel, to overwrite the 32b kernel

Flash old radio/spl
Flash rom
Flash kernel

I hope you're sure you have a 32A.

The rom is amazing and I'm really impressed with it. The quadrant scores seem to be higher than when I was using CM, not sure if it's the kernel, but I had setCPU higher then and this ROM/Kernel is still giving me better scores. Everything seems more responsive, but I did notice it was slow moving between the virtual desktops, so I changed the wallpaper to nothing/dark one and now it's flying between the desktops. I replaced zeem with launcherpro, because it just seems to be faster for me, especially if you go under preferences and change settings to open faster, slide faster..etc

Only thing missing is that I had a number by the battery indicator before in the top notification bar and now the settings seem to be missing. I think others have posted about this, so I'll have to search if there's a way to get a number instead of just the icon that doesn't tell me as much.

so i just thought of something. If "fastboot erase boot", "fastboot erase system -w", and making sure /sd-ext/ is empty isn't a good enough wipe for a clean install of this ROM than a nandroid-ext backup wont get all the files needed to do a proper restore. What else do I need to get? /sdcard/.android_secure ?

just installed 1.33.0013d, 2.22.28.25 and yoshi RC4 on my MT3G. So far everything went smooth. It's busy downloading/sync'ing up all my apps and junk.

I was previously running this Froyo build and while relatively stable, it got progressively slower and slower over the months.

With any luck though, in the next few months I can just get a newer phone but for now, we'll see how this one does.

sorry this is my first time for trying a different rom other than android 1.5

You MUST have a compatible set of recovery, radio and SPL. In order to use the tools to switch between the old(3.22) and new(6.35) radio you MUST have an engineering SPL. In your case 1.76.2007 would work just fine. There are several threads on getting this SPL installed to work with your current radio/recovery. Once you are there switching is very easy.

However, if you want to try a Gingerbread rom, I suggest you look at:
[Rom]*Diet Gingerbread*New Radio*[6.35]*Magic/Sapphire*All Working*Feb16*

This should work with your current radio and SPL and you will run less risk of bricking your phone.

Remember, Nandroid is your friend.

How did you wipe? Try to do superwipe then normal wipe twice and it should be good to go

the maps.apk is the latest google maps v5.1, does this version support voice navigation which is brut map? where can i install the brut map for maps v5.1? anyone can help? thx
