Android 4.4.3 dialer

Came across this earlier today. I installed on PA 4.3 but it crashes when i make a call. Maybe someone else will have better than i have.

If you read the thread in the link it says that the dialer icon will disappear. There is a workaround in there as well. I presume making a shortcut on the homescreen . . .

I installed on Xdabebbs ROM and can't seem to get it working either...do I need to freeze the LG Dialer?

My phone icon didn't disappear. It is the same as first. The Google dialer doesn't show up in the apps folder

Done that but google dialer doesn't dial.every time I'm trying to call somebody it's crashing

Works on my cloudystock. All you got to do is to do it manually by copying the app in your /system/priv-app directory. Set the permission to 644 (rw-r-r) and restart. Then you got to do like what 60nine said in previous post using nova launcher (don't know about other launchers though) to make it appear in your home screen.

The calling screen still uses the stock LG dialer so i guess you can't disable the stock dialer.

funny thing i did that the 1st time and it didnt work, tried it again and also cleared cache and dalvik and its working perfectly

Install this app, run it and add root privilegs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ccswe.appmanager

1) Scroll down for Google Dialer app and click on it. Check the box and click on Show/Hide icon(s) button.

2) The icon of the google dialer will appear in stock launcher or 3rd party launchers and you can add shortcut to lockscreen too.
