Yes I did this but when I clicked properties all I got was Check MD5 sum and some other option but no way to write permissions when I did it with Root Browser Lite it said certain applications cannot have their permissions changed. I have the apk at the root of my SD card is there a certain area I have to move it first before trying to install and switch permissions because when I try to install it says install failed. I even tried uninstalling the inverted calender app first and removing other files that apk may have made and it still won't work. I even redownloaded the nonflashable apks in case I got a bad download.

Then you are either not rooted or do not have root write settings enabled in your file manager.

Is battery life most dependent on the kernel, or does the ROM make a big difference too? Because, I was ending up with 20% - 30% battery life left every night when I went to bed, with this ROM.

I tried another ROM and now I'm running out before I go to bed and that's with an hour LESS screen time on!?!

The reason I tried another ROM is my Adobe Flash had stopped working, tethering wasn't working for me and I wanted a ROM with pdroid working. Battery life is essential however, so I may have to come back to this ROM... :)

possible glitch

Hey I think I encountered a possible glitch with this rom. When I was in the Google Now app I decided to search a few things by Camera. Afterward a processed stop working I am assuming it had to do with Camera. Later when I tried to open the Camera app the stock galaxy Camera app would not open and forced close everytime. The other camera did function. Could anyone by any chance have a way to resolve this issue? Is there a way to disable the second camera app using titanium backup? I am pretty happy with the stock Samsung camera app.

Thank you:good:

Best bet is to go back to 6. As you can see from the posting dates this one is pretty much dead.

Yeah, sorry guys. Work has just been too hectic. I fractured three of my knuckles at work and have been on and off light duty since September and my schedule keeps fluctuating because of it.

By request...Transparent Status Bar

Since I did a black status bar I had a request for a transparent one...here it is, link below:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/vntogetdyzmedvf/Transparent-Status-Bar-FreeGS3-7.1.1.zip

And here is a screenshot of what it looks like on my GS3 (to be used on Stock ROM only, may break others that are themed; example... I used to have blue circle battery and all blue icons up top)

Kernel Tweaks & Information by ktoonzes:

    ktoonservative Governor
This governor is based on conservative, but added some tunable vars and made it a hotplugging governor unlike conservative. With the settings I included stock it is probably the most responsive gov and is pretty good at saving battery as well. Especially with my screen off option to limit the CPU top Mhz. Hope that answers all ur questions.

Well guys, you know how close I've been with the community and I want to let you all know the good news.

My family has decided to move to Wyoming as I've accepted this job offer. I'm sending my application up there tomorrow. I'm extremely excited about this opportunity but I'm also extremely scared...beyond words. I have to leave my wife and son behind until December while I save up some money to come back down and move them up there with us. That alone scares the hell out of me. I've never spent more then a night away from my son since he was born three years ago. It's going to be extremely tough.

The main reason I'm posting here is to inform everyone that sadly, this is very likely my last release. That saddens me as I had such big plans for the ROM and I really wanted to do so much more for you guys as you've all been so supportive towards me. The reason for this being the likely last release is my friend has to hire his crew ASAP....likely, I'm leaving next Thursday to drive up there. It is such a shock to imagine that next week, I'm leaving to Wyoming. I'll be so busy with training and work that I likely won't have time to do anything....especially considering I'll have no PC :p

Anyway, it has been great dealing with each and everyone one of you and I'm sure you guys won't miss me all that much. You have great devs here like Wild, Whitehawk and Evil that thing will move on without me just fine.

I thank you all for all of your support. You all keep me pushing forward even when I got aggravated and wanted to quit. I also want to thank everyone who has ever donated to me. As some of you may know, I have a pretty crappy job and I'm a solo working parent (my wife is a stay at home mom) so I support our whole family and all our bills by myself. As "little" as you may think those donations are, they're all huge to me.

    Thank you all so much.

    lol, you said "meow".

On another note, I can make a quick video illustrating the rom features if it would really help someone decide to download this rom. Let me know.

If so, I'll add it the OP moon :)

As for everyone who is having issues installing the stock theme, are you getting an error that says "Must have one SDcard mounted"?

If so, in recovery, simply click "Mounts and Storage" and click the SDCard (it should change from reading "Mount" to "Unmount") at that time, flash the stock theme.

Its as simple as that and you're back to stock.

I just read through the last few and I really really appreciate those who stood up for my work and especially those who point out the fact that I spend hours on here doing a free service for everyone to enjoy. Hours which I could be spending with my family and friends.

There are MANY days I come home from work, kiss my wife, sit down for dinner then jump my ass right on the computer and work right up to the time I get off and go straight to bed (and past a "healthy" time to go to bed for work the next day and suffer tired as **** at work the next day) in order to get new content out. My wife and I actually sat down last night and talked about it because she said the last few weeks have been tough because I come home, sit on the computer then go to bed and spend no time with her or my son and I agreed I needed to take some time away from the computer.

With that said, I have still been nice enough to try and honor some requests that come in such as scrolling wallpaper, stock theme or whatever else it may be because, well, I enjoy doing this and I really enjoy making everyone enjoy their phones even more. I know just how excited I use to get back when I first got an N1 and new stuff came out every day or so. It was like having a new phone every few days. I know how cool that feels and I try to bring that to you guys.....and as said before, I bring that to you guys free of charge without any demand for donations in return. I've had a total of 6 donations over the last....what.....month of doing so. In that month, I've spent......****.........I can't even put a number on those hours spent working on this ROM. So for those harshly criticizing my ROM, tell me how often you work for free?

That said, for those of you who ***** and complain about the ROM not being what you want, click the back button and move along. You're not paying my bills, you're not busting your ass at work all day exhausted from staying up too late tweaking code and you're not putting in the hours to make the ROM what it is. Constructive criticism is awesome, and appreciated, just to be clear.

For those of you who have donated or simply given praise, it goes a long way in keeping me doing this for you guys and I truly appreciate it.

In summary, I like doing this for fun and I love making you guys happy. Unfortunately, I can't make everyone happy. Thus is life.

Feel free to continue suggesting additions, feel free to criticize my work if you want to do so respectfully and feel free to otherwise praise the work I do. I do this for you guys, not for me.

Cool guys, I really appreciate the support and kind words! I didn't realize so many people really enjoyed my ROM.

I honestly felt obsolete at this point, due to my limited knowledge. I just expected from the beginning of my releases to fade away as the big time developers came in and started putting ROMs out.

I appreciate it and I think I'll try and spend some time putting together a JB release for you guys :)
