Replacing camera module.

Appears to be correct camera but get "camera failed" and fc. Rooted with custom rom. Have read somewhere that maybe need to factory reset, return to stock. Anyone have any advice? Thanks.

When did it start failing? You remember what you did to your phone about that time?

The lens cover smashed and the camera damaged also. I bought replacements online as I don't have insurance.

Crap! Clear data for camera. Try different cam app. Then try fac reset or clean flash. Where did you get replacement? Any reason not to trust source (wrong/damaged part)?
