Re: [2.22.13] [Rom] [4.2.2] [Aokp] [Aroma] [Linaro] [Lots of options]

Im blown away how smooth this is with ak! I do a lean install with aroma, just the basics no lmt, and this rom flat out flies. Yet to find anything that lags or doesnt work. Damn near flawless a rom ive ever seen. Nice work dude.

Re: [2.22.13] [Rom] [4.2.2] [Aokp] [Aroma] [Linaro] [Lots of options]

I was curious on a few things. You give a link to gapps that can b installed with the non aroma link. Is that the only one that works. I have one that is the blacked out version http://www.mediafire.com/?jqd4by66ktlmwhh. Would this work as well. Also wondering. Is there an option in this ROM to disable the nav bar. I'm used to having lmt but before flashing just want to make sure nav bar can b hidden such as 0 dpi so lmt can b enabled but still show the status bar

Nice job (as usual). Did I imagine Chronous was in previous builds? I flashed the non aroma version, perhaps it was in the aroma one?

No, I never added Chronus. Suppose at some point I could add it to the Aroma build.

Ive seen where they tried to add it to aokp and it got shot down. In fact if I remember correctly one of the guys from aokp stated it wouldnt be added and that LMT was the alternative that people should use.

Version 2.20 is Fantastic. I haven't updated to 2.22 yet, but 2.20 completely resolved an issue I had with 2.17 where it would stall and get very sluggish. Very responsive, no problems to date. It would be great if you could add inverted gapps (+ email, etc.) to Aroma--it's a perfect tool to allow users to decide which version of the standard apps they want--light, or dark.

Theres no way I could add it to aroma. It would add almost another 100mb. Im going to post inverted gapps for the non aroma build eventually..

Thank you Mr. Testolin for the donation. Much appreciated!

Ok, so I figured I would update everyone in where I would like this ROM to go. First, I am thinking about updating every 3 days. That way everyone isnt flashing the ROM for 1 new feature. Second, Snuzzo has shown interest in getting PIE into my AOKP build. NO PROMISES. This is what we hope to do. Third, just want to say thanks to all you awesome guys out there who are enjoying the ROM. I want to keep the excitement going!

Also, there were some commits that were abandoned that I would like to bring back. Swipe to switch and date on 2 lines in statusbar. They merge fine but dont know about compile errors.

Just wanted to say that your latest build oozes butter with AK Purity.

EDIT: Do you incorporate Project Unicorn Butter (PUB) or have you considered it?

No I do not. I asked Steve Spears permission to use it and he was fine with it but he did ask that I not use it to build for phones that he builds for. He builds for the Toro so out of respect I havent used it

I had quite a few people ask me to do this so here it is. My AOKP kangs. I have lots of merged commits and optimization in these builds for your enjoyment.

If you have the GSM version of the Gnex (Maguro) you can find my builds here= http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2339744

    Few things:
    1) All code is written by the members of team AOKP.
    2) I am not a developer. I am an Android hobbyist.
    3) I am not affiliated with team AOKP, therefore any issues you have with the ROM cannot be brought to team AOKP

Please before you flash anything, I beg of you to backup your EFS partition. If it gets corrupted and you don't have a backup, there is NO FIX.
    Here's how

Go into TWRP (make sure you are on 2.6.0.0.) then go to back up. Uncheck everything BUT EFS. Name the backup EFS and swipe to backup. That way not only do you have a backup of the whole phone but you have a backup of just the EFS partition.

    ####### FULL LINARO & -03 OPTIMZATIONS #######

Pulls the Linaro 4.7 chain and places it into prebuilts/gcc/linux-x86/arm
Modifies my build repo and a few other build files to direct it to the new chain
30 different linaro patches and optimizations made by the linaro team that improve the performance of the rom
-modifies the kernel I am currently building with to allow it to build Linaro
-Modifies the device specific repos to allow it to build with the linarochain
    Set the building variables

Ok guys, bad news. My wifes company is getting shut down and I will need to pick up extra hours. I will not have time to do android any more. I want to thank every one of you for supporting me and AOKP. You all have been f'n amazing. I have a good friend Akellar who is part of team AOKP and he does some really good builds. If youre looking for a new home. GO SEE HIM!!!

Again, I am very thankful I had everyone of you as users. Sorry I couldnt keep it going. AOKP 4 life!!!! lol

I told Akellar he could have the next post for his rom link and description.

Next couple of days, I will be making a new build with a few commits merged

Keep up the great work man. I've been lurking in here, but I have to say that your dedication is admirable and really great for the community :good:

Thanks. Back when I knew nothing about android I noticed that the devs would shy away or get easily aggravated. I want everyone not to look at me as a dev or rc but as just another person in the crowd. I post my gtalk where everyone can see it because I know how frustrating things can get. In the end I just want everyone to feel at home in the thread.
