I've found the radio in my sig to be pretty good across all the roms I've run from Georgia to Indiana. My sig is a little off in that I haven't flashed a ril with aospx.

As for the recovery, I've flashed aospx with both the current regular cwm and cwm touch for dhd (yes, they are blue). Not had any issue.

Sent from the computer I carry in my pocket.

I haven't but I could be due to the kernel, your OC settings, or if you're undervolted

Hmmm...I'm running AR28 (and have only applied Inspiremod 0.5 and agps google patch v3.1). Did you just do AR28 and that's it, and have you tried running Maps for a while and not had any issues?

Thanks for your response...

stock FM Radio App on custom ROMs

Any idea if I can copy the .apk (assuming that I can find it) from the stock rom and use it on AOSPX?

I mean, I can try it myself, but I don't know if even trying to do that would fubar the phone in some way.

Thanks

Moving .apk's is fairly simple with es file explore but which apk are you referring to?

Honestly, not 100% sure...I was assuming there is an apk for the FM Radio app, but I haven't actually had time to look yet. I will try it over the weekend since your first comments was not "OMG - don't do it!" and see what happens.

Call me old fashioned, but I like to continue listening to the one morning show on the train that I listen to on the way to the station.

Haha I understand but if its a radio app it might still not work. I think its a bug within the rom but its still worth a shot

likely wont be compatible. you could check out iheartradio app, most radio stations broadcast on there and that uses data connection.

I was wondering how to use mms without turning my data on. I know it uses it. On sense roms I don't need data on. Do you have a solution for this?

This is the way AOSP work. When it disables data it doesn't allow other apps to then it back on. Sense roms allow the messaging apps to turn your data on. There will be no fix as this is how Google intended it to be.

download stuck in status bar

Hey all, just wanted to thank everyone for the great ROM. I've been using AR 28 for a week or so now. Other than some random reboots I've had a great time, but today I've run into a problem. I've had a download that got started and froze stuck in my status bar all day. The status bar pulsates but never finishes and clearing the status bar doesn't do anything. I've tried resets and clearing the cache and would like any solution other than a full wipe. Thanks!

I haven't heard of a bug like this before. You might have better luck posting in the dev thread. Sorry I was no help:(

Remove Clock

I would like to remove the clock from the notification bar. I use clocker widget for the clock and having both just seems goofy to me. Can someone explain how to do this?

Downloaded Ace Hack Kit, rooted my phone, loaded the zip file for cyanogenmod from clockworkmod, phone goes to the HTC screen and doesn't boot. What am I doing wrong?

I was using 27 and thinking of flashing 28. But like IceCold and Redemption I had the option of hiding toggles or leave them showing which to me looks better when they are showing.

Its available in those roms because they have all the "extras" that AOSPX doesn't offer.

I have searched this topic for "music" and "mount" to see if these keywords could find someone else's similar question. No luck. So here I go.

I've have previously used a ICS ROM (Ascension? I think) but some very useful features were not available. This would be the ability to mount local shares from a wifi connection and being able to use the volume controls to skip tracks (long presses).

This could have been human error on my part of not figuring out how to enable these features or maybe the ROM simply did not support them. I have since returned to Absolution's GB ROM and everything works as it did, but I really like everything else that a ICS ROM had to offer.

Does this ROM support these features or is this user error?

Cifsmanager and ES File Explorer are the apps I've used for mounting shares. AudioGalaxy is my music app of choice. Thanks in advance.

These features aren't available on Existz rom but I know the long press volume controls work for skipping tracks on Lord's ICS.
