Really fantastic work though! Very fast and really enjoying the extra ram. This one takes it for the fastest rom I've used I'd say.

Lock screen weather seems to be fixed and also no flicker screen any more, 4.0.4 is smoother and faster as expected , just awesome
One issue I found so far is that the dial pad's t9 doesn't work anymore and going into its additional settings causes the phone app to force close.

So it seems I'm unable to get the init.d scripts to work. I've turned them on but after every reboot the startup tweaks is disabled again and there is no init.d folder in /system/etc

You should flash the essentials immediately after flashing the base. Rebooting between the flashes disrupts the process. Essentials includes device specific items such as radios.
where do i get the weather widget from? i cant find it?! is it in the addon package?

If you mean the lock screen weather and pull down notification menu weather, you can activate them in ASS settings under the weather category.
I tried a different kernel and I tried wiping everything and starting from scratch. I checked to see if it would work before restoring with titanium backup and it still doesn't seem to want to work. Is anybody else having trouble getting the init.d startup tweaks to work?

No noticeable "feature" addons. 4.0.4 is snappy as expected, but I never found 4.0.3 NOT snappy (although I always run at 1300mhz).
Two (what I consider) regressions found are that the SMS icon is back to green - I had really learned to like the blue. And T9 dialing doesn't work. Going into phone -> settings -> dialer settings causes a force close.
This was installed over 3.0 by wiping cache and system first but not data. Also installed 2.9 addons. Might get better results from wiping data also.
Over all, impressive most everything is working considering that its built against a different Android version. However, I see no reason to rush into 3.1 if you're happy with 3.0

MMS ICon will turn blue again in next release
T9 dialer support discontinued, lags in my opinjon, use contacts.apk frim 3.0 in this if you need T9 or one from AOKp/CM9.
Dialpad Settings, what does it do? I will include that in next release if that has nothign to do with T9. Yes 4.0.4 is snappier but not by huge margin. Android OS display bug is gone though
I agree, T9 lags the dialer.
Go to the dialer, then menu button - settings - dialpad settings. Then I get "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped".
Admittedly I only went there looking to turn on T9.
Never had a display bug, but glad its gone I guess ;-)

I didn't try. I've never needed them. Don't even know how to make sure they're working. The check box in ASS settings toggles just fine...

While there is no recovery image provided with v2.0, i recommend trying out the TWRP (everything touch screen) or CWM 5.0.2.3 ( better confirm menus)

Fresh/Clean Installation Instructions:
Pre-Requisites: need to have CWM recovery or TWRP recovery installed.
- Enter Recovery
- Recommended: do a nandroid back up
- Wipe data/factory reset
- optional: format system in mounts and storage for extra clean install
- select slimICS_vX.X.X.zip to install and wait for it to finish
- optional: select addon.zip and face_unlock.zip to install and wait for it to finish
- reboot to system.
Coming from another 4.0.3 Rom :
- A simple wipe cache and Install the zip file should do it.
Once rebooted, you will most likely see a blank screen. Press the soft menu key and preferences to customize you zeam launcher.

Slim ICS 3.0 - Stable?
- Fast Charge in Kernel and Controlled via ASS - thanks to chad0989 for FC patch - Turned off by default, take a look at this post for how it works.
- Free Mem increase via kernel and device ( increase of about 40 MB) - thanks to Kali of CM team for source, i get about 200 MB free with 60 data apps installed, increase of about 50 MB.
- Face book Sync
- Nav Bar via ASS, turned off by default , turn it on via ASS( search and memu vritual keys are not transparent, other 3 are)
- Calendar ( text ) in lockscreen, turned off by default again, turn it on via ASS.
- Kernel Tweaks via ASS - thanks to AOKP for source - Don't enable fast charge in boot, if you do, it will cut off the data connection to pc.
