SHIFTAO5P HACK3D V IC3.2.1

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Here is my take on the new TH3ORY AO5P source. I compiled it then took it apart and tweaked it to my liking. It is fast and smooth and I hope you will enjoy it!

Will the new 605.3 radio work on this Rom? If not do I flash Rom in clockwork first and then posted radio in recovery?

Yes the new radios will work with this ROM. You will flash the rom in clockwork and radios will be flashed in "BOOTLOADER" not recovery

You will have to rename the radio zip to PG05IMG.zip put it in root of your sd card. Power off the phone. Hold Volume down + power button till it boots to bootloader and press volume up when it asks to update radios.

Downloaded and installed. Looks great! For some reason I can't get wireless tether to work with any of the Theory ROMs. Barnacle works alright, but that is ad-hoc. Any tips?

LTE?

Is it just me or does LTE not seem to work. If I toggle it off and on it seems to try to connect but then falls back to 3G. I was on BLACKSOURC3 before this and it was working just fine. I even restored into BLACKSOURC3 just to make sure and it instantly picks up the LTE where this ROM does not seem to at all.

Anyone else having this issue?

Resurrected from the dead. My phone will be happy once again.

Looks great. Thanks man. Glad there's an updated AOSP ROM.

---------- Post added at 08:26 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:03 AM ----------

How do you get the additional 3g/4g switch on the status bar drop down?

Also, how does one access the lockscreen you have in the screenies too?

Both are under CM Settings title in under interface notification power widget and the lockscreen settings type ring and select custom application launcher and add your apps.

Open garden works as well. Wireless tether fc a lot for me, plus I wanted it secured which it doesn't allow. Seeing same people all over the place.

Ok will fiddle with the setting don't really wanna flash a different kernel every time this is updated :( why not just use a better kernel to start with?

Why don't you just build the ROM in the future then?? No one kernel is going to work good on every phone. I'm sorry you're too ****ing lazy to flash one of the other kernels I took time to package up for a phone I don't even use anymore. Geez

Flash is always hit and miss for me on aosp roms. The only way i've found to fix it is to do the following:

    1. Open whatever browser you use, in this case I am using Dolphin HD. Load a flash video.
    2. Leave browser open and then force close browser manually.
    3. Open a program like root explorer.
    4. Mount as R/W then Follow this--> data/data/mobi.mgeek.TunnyBrowser/app_plugins/com.adobe.flashplayer/.macromedia/Flash_Player
    5. Delete the config.data file
    6. Try watching the video again.

The process should be the same if using the stock browser but I think you go into the com.android.browser folder instead of the mobi. folder

The problem I have is that damn config.data file keeps coming back. Oh and the reason we have to do this is because aosp roms won't play flash video above 240p for some reason.

    Sent from my ADR6400L
Instead of deleting the config.data file. Just remove all permissions and it'll work just fine.

This is the best fix I know to watch non-YouTube videos. Worked for flash 10.2, 3, and 11.

Side note - And as for kernels, try different ones to see what works best. Drod omfgb and slathered each give me different problems but tiamat is great. Every phone is completely different, so its not the greatest idea to ask which kernel is best for battery life, smooth function, etc. Different for everyone.
    2
*Sluggish unlock screen and sometimes home screen. Some kernels better than others but all sluggish compared to <=2.2.1.
*Inconsistent 4g connectivity and delayed hand-off to 3g
*Fluctuating reception. No call issues but indicator goes wild. I believe it has a dramatic affect on battery life.
*FC on certain apps that used to work flawlessly.
Just sharing my thoughts on the inconsistencies you've experienced because I had a bunch of them myself.
The 4g/3g and reception issues happened to me with every radio between the original ota mr2 and the final 906 radio from the last leak. To me, the official releases worked best for a reason. But different phones man. Hopefully you can find an ideal radio or combination LTE/cdma that works best. Keep mind that the verizon network has had major issues in the last week or 2. Im normally 4g - 95% of the time but lately its been 3g or 1x (or whatever we want to call it). And youre right about cell standby draining battery life.
Also, one of the last superuser updates messed up a lot of people. Sense & aosp. The FCs and bb binary update issues would cause other apps to FC. The final update worked for some. On phones runnings sense, many people got away with reverting to older superuser or busybox.

And I know launcher hasn't been address here but I think a lot of people should look into the GO Dev team. The Go Launcher is nasty. Constant updates. Great things. If you like transitions and variety of options, or moreso stability and speed...check it out.
