It depends on your usage, if phone is idle Android OS will be higher because nothing else used the battery, remember its not battery % but relative % (sum is always 100% )

BTW LeoMar are you going to use KG2? Intratech just released a "official" version :)

And we are back in main dev part...

plenty screensy around mate...which one u referring too.. some are using
Ninphetamine-1.4/1.3 kernel and undervolting it so Android OS usage is low .. read a few pages back for more infor

even the kernal leomar uses is undervolted too though :) i cant wait to try the new kernel he has :)

but yeah android o/s will be high if you havent done much multitasking on the phone as it is always running . if you click android o/s you can see how long it has been consuming cpu power and then compare it to the time on of your device and that gives you a better indication of wether it is even doing anything to your battery or just showing up as an app that has been using battery because there isnt much that has :)

sounds logical !

my usage :
2 hour music a day + some writing on Gdocs
nothing special during day except some facebook widget (1 hour refresh) and K Mail (15 minutes refresh, no push) and google+ (hum... don't know how this refresh) and google calendar sync

some websurfing ... maybe 20 minutes max ?
always 3g on and no wifi
;)

By the way I'm not sure on how to use setcpu. do I have to choose "set at boot" for every option ? (sorry, noob concerning setcpu) -i don't want to overclock anyway-

Nice, back to dev.

Hey guys, i have a very weird issue.

Read a lot about wake up lag, but i didnt have it. How do i know this? I used a jig to reset counter and now i do have the wake up lag! I have 2 devices, both never had wake up lag. My wife's device still in stock rom as she dont let me touch her phone. I flashed some roms in mine, never had it but today i used a jig and finally understand what it is. Anyone have any idea why the hell im having this now?

As far as I know, there is something that has not been tweaked on any rom yet: the bluetooth bitpool is low and the audio results as being very poor quality...

I know it is something that had been fixed on the Cyanogen, which is not available for SGS2.

Do you reckon it is something you would consider working on, mate?

Kind request from a fellow Italian :)

compaed to what mate? i use a sony bluetooth stereo at home and in the car and the sgs2 is on par with the nokia phones i used to use . It could be a little better but i read it is because it doesnt pack the wolfstein audio chip .

I dont think much can be done with audio at the min there was a very talented dev that looked into it and done a lot of work on the sgs1

It's not a matter of chip, the audio with wired earphones is not mindblowing, but it's ok.

The issue is apparently something that affects pretty much every android terminal, basically over bluetooth the high frequencies are big time farked up.
And it is something that can be fixed in the code. Bitpool is just the way the sound is sampled when broadcast via bluetooth.

:) Great that you are HAPPY!! We are also now! Took a leap of faith and installed your ROM... Never looked back! It's fantastic to say the least.
Loved all the customisations + the hw acclrtd stock browser + JKay's extended power menu + good battery life and mainly the 5th icon i.e. the data icon added to the notification panel... Installation was an absolute breeze..
Thanks... and looking forward to the new kernel. You rock man!

Ps: xxkg2 is online!

If you want to be pissy about changes to forum rules, by all means, however you might want to start adhering to some of them if you want a leg to stand on.

For example, kernel sources?

Oh and FYI, the browser isn't "hw accelerated", it's odexed vs deodexed. Deodexed performs like ****, odexed does not, neither one has "hw acceleration" as it would actually apply to the browser.

I have nothing to contribute to this thread apart from this picture.

Notice the post count :p

Actually, I genuinely have a question. Why Ondemand and min 500 by default in the kernel?

What do you want me to do? Are you teaching something to me?

What he was saying is that you need to post your source information per GPL. So for the kernel, you need to have link to github that shows what changes were made. This is a standard rule of XDA

Guys, i am working with checkrom team, we are building the new CheckRom Revolution v1.0 based on the official firmware XXKI8.

That's why i am not online so often, i am spending a lot of time on configuring server stuffs, modifying the application and coordinate the work with my new team!

The good new is that we will be ready in a couple of days to release the new ROM.

The Kitchen pro app will work with the new Checkrom Revolution, and a new thread will be created on this forum section!

    Leo.
    47
I think you already know that i made an agreement with CheckROM Team!
We will work togheter for every new incoming ROM.

We have two guys working on themes, one guy working on kernel, and another guy working on ROM (smali code, Mods ,..).

My position will be something close to a "Supervisor" i will go through every Mod, config, theme, kernel in order to assure the highest levels of quality work and productivity
    47
Guys, as you you already know i am developing a brand new kitchen app. This time no anybodyelse is involved in this project... So i started to code from zero.. I am not reusing old kitchen app code.

This kitchen app is super fast, with an amazing usability due to the revamped UI.
No hang on start, no black screen, it use advanced pattern for handle everything you do with it. In addition it use cache for showing last menu info when you are not connected to internet. The kitchen will display items to be download from internet or items already stored in your sdcard (i.e. Already downloaded in the past). Also for image preview it use async task so you can see theme info page while the image is loading from internet.
It will be possible pinch to zoom on the preview image. Other views have been added to display straight away current items marked for download. There will be further info about each package and where available a clickable web link to the original thread.

I am working on an advanced download manager that allows you to download packages contemporanly.

Now i have in my hand a early pre-alpha release with few features, but i am pretty sure we will have a beta release in 7 days.

I am working 14 hour per days on this project and as usual this app will be a revolution.

    Stay tuned!
