I have the same o e and it fits in your pocket perfectly. It really is only a third thicker, and unless your pockets are TINY, you'll be fine

That looks a lot like mine bro, I am glad others are posting more about this.

I still have no issues with the battery I purchased but my systems acting weird but prolly due to my trying to change my notification bar icons in a stock rom lol.

My battery % meter dropped to zero at 61% and had to restart and get it back up agaib

Looks like I'll be picking this up then. I don't usually have any use for the extra battery time, but it'll be nice for travels.

Well I bit the bullet and bought 1 of these 2 http://www.ebay.ca/itm/3800mAh-Exte...&otn=3&po=LVI&ps=63&clkid=5452226273780561128
Lasted me a full day and I still had 50% at the end of the day. Nice to finally have enough power to surpass 1 day. cost me 9.99 and 3$ shipping so I think it was worth it. The back panel is almost perfect but there is 1 corner where it does not click on perfectly. I just wish it had a kick stand like the mugeon 1. wonder if I can order just the back with a kick stand. My daughter watches netflix on my phone when were out and I always have to lean the phone against something.

CSA approved or UL listed?

Not sure how would I find that out? Phone is a lot thicker but I find it much easier to hold now thanks to the extra girth. 1 thing this bad boy does take longer to charge, which only makes sense. Once I got it down to 20% and went to bed for 4 hours, when I woke up it was only at 80% charged. I can actually use my phone now and not worry to have to carry an extra battery to change half way during the day!

Not sure how would I find that out? ...

There would be a UL or CSA symbol on it. Take a look at most any other electrical or electronic gear, even a lamp. Likely you'll see a piece of paper around the cord, on it will be a UL. Or a laptop power brick, for example.

For CSA, it's a C (almost a complete circle) with an SA in the middle of it.

Not sure either would be on a battery, for sure, but I wondered - given stories of batteries overheating or fires. Not saying it was these ones or any other ones. I just see elsewhere in the thread concerns about temperature on these larger batteries, and every so often I come across some sort of horror story. I'm guessing, especially if things are coming from outside North America, so don't have to adhere to these safety standards.

Not saying there is a danger, just wondered if one of these symbols was present.

Thanks for checking for me, though.

'course if people are stupid enough to short the terminals ... but then, that's why there are Darwin awards, I suppose.

I believe that is a different type of beastie. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CE_marking seems to indicate it's a rather loose and self-applied marking. Almost alluding to irrelevance. (For what it was intended to be.)

I think I'm groping at safety standards, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Safety_standards, perhaps even simply standards. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standards_organization and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Standards_Association seem to correlate CSA as an authorized Canadian standards mark authority. UL, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UL_(safety_organization) seems to put the two together, for the U.S.

This thread made me have a look at my own stuff - I don't see such safety standard markings, even on the Samsung battery. While I do on, say, my laptop's power brick. Perhaps such standards mark items that plug directly into the mains, only - so no battery has them, and there's no point looking for them.

(But thanks for trying.)

Take a look at these pics I posted up on google plus of the battery:

Is the stock battery THAT BAD that you'd need to by an extended battery like this? I've been thinking about getting the I927 for a while, mostly for traveling outside of the US, and until I can afford a Galaxy S4. Currently I have an Epic 4G, and I simply bought an 1800 battery that fits in the phone just fine, no extended case necessary. No such battery exists for the I927 that I would have to get an extended battery?

Actually a quick Google search shows there's the 1840 and the 1950.

to buy or not to buy

My stock battery bulged after two year usage.
Which battery to buy actually is a taste question. I mainly use SGH-i927 for remote sysadmin things when I'm not at office, and I noticed that the phone with extended battery cover more convenient to hold.
