This will be my first time installing an AOKP rom, so would like some insights:

. I'm coming from Aroma install, can I do a dirty install? (no factory reset)
. Where do I find the GAPPS for this ROM, or it's the general 4.2.1 GAPPS?
. I was reading about the ROM and some people say that CWM does not work with AOKP, is it true? Do I need to install TW then?
. I'm in Hong Kong, is there any thing I need to do in relation to my modem, or stays the same after installation.

Sorry for the questions guys, but I'm dying to try this ROM, just afraid of something going out of hand...

Thanks a mill

Take a note of your Mobile Network APN's before you install... that was the only issue I had after. Otherwise good ROM.

No 'Deep Sleep'

I've been running the new build since this morning and my phone now doesn't appear to Deep Sleep (well there's a record of 1 minute but 5 hours 18 mins at 200 Mhz).

And also rather bizarrely according to System Tuner one of my cores is always offline (CPU1).

UPDATE: Yes, definitely something weird with this ROM / Kernel... CPU1 is always 'offline' (deep sleep) and none of the other cores go into deep sleep.

Depends on the app but you can usually choose 'Share' and then 'Bluetooth'.

I'll PM you the invoice for my time.

You can find most answers in OP.

No need to worry. As of now there is no brick bug reported. You just need to do a little bit reading.

Try TWRP! way better than CWM. Well, at least for me. ;)

And always remember "No guts, no glory!"

haha., I'll defo go for it. Just need a spare time to do it.
Just one last question then, I'm very used to CWM, any problem if I use it instead of TWRP?

The UI is nice. Quite user-friendly. Most, if not all functions of CWM can be done in TWRP as well.

Highly recommended.

Any comments on calls over bluetooth headset would be welcomed. Last edition was not happy. I'll test when I'm home if not one else tries. Thanks in advance.

video/multiwindow

I've seen comments already but the video's audio has lag or distortion. any 3rd party fix people have seen able to flash fix that. i already flashed to allow photosphere, which is awesome! FC's after use occasionally but it still works.
otherwise it is an awesome rom! i love the mouse on s-pen hover. literally flashed cm10.1 and immediately back to aokp. great work!

cherry pick for today' s build

hideable navbar , meaning we can use it's widgets on the lockscreeen , performance control now works for OC (no longer need extra apps) hold back to kill (use to be possible only using the navbar now hard keys work ..
quick pin unlock , ability to enable dual panel for settings (via rom control), hide status bar , recents apps GB style (on/off)of course the UI mode is there (tablet phablet etc)
maybe more that I forgot ..

fyi if you get clock fc , wipe its data and reboot ..

does the hold back to kill only work with navbar active? actually it doesn't seem to do it either way for me but i don't generally have navbar enabled so i'm hoping this still works without it!
& maybe some insight oh how to get it working in general please! great rom i switched from here to cm10.1 and immediately back because it's so much better!

I gave it another go today and am still getting install abort symlink issues. I had the same issue and reported it but had no one respond, I've got no issues with cm10.1 installs and would love to give this a go?

I tried this rom a couple days ago since it was updated, and making calls through bluetooth was very bad. I retried making the same call a few times, and in the end my phone froze up and I had to reboot. After the reboot the phone told me I was bluetooth connected, but when a call came through it went to the phone and not my bluetooth device.
