Hi all, would anyone happen to know the eta on the kitkat update for the WiFi version of the galaxy note 8 in Australia? Mine is unbranded and purchased from Harvey Norman.

Australia is usually left behind, and sometime wont ever see an update. Just Flash another regions firmware onto your device its simple, easy and painless.
I usually use the UK version:

I have flashed mine with Cyanogenmod , its now running 4.4.4
love it. I recommend if you going to upgrade to CyanogenMod is to install CWM, just incase something goes wrong.Cyanogenmod: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=n5110

But i have also flashed prior to using CyanogenMod - the UK Version Firmware for Note 8 - did the Kitkat, did it to my Note 8 and also Samsung S4.
Simple really, download Odin flash it with the new firmware
