I have not seen a thread for CM10 yet. I know Steve has posted for some other devices, but not for the N7, so I figure might as well have one until a maintainer starts one. I am not a developer or a part of the CM team, I just feel a need for a thread for people to post questions, comments, answers, etc for this ROM.

Please post if you find a nightly is unbootable so we can warn fellow members!

Has anyone had any soft-reboots? I have one occasionally (happened twice now) I was never near a computer so I couldn't pull a logcat.

Running 09/07 no reboots here. Must have been a bug with the build I was on, I stayed at the second nightly for a while :p

Is it just me or did they take the nightlies off ROM manager?

Had a soft reboot some nightlies ago, that's all.

The only annoying bug I found is with the wifi. If I set it to never sleep, the battery drains relatively fast. If I set it to sleep when the screen is turned off, sometimes when I turn back on the screen the wifi "hangs" in "searching for wifi networks". The only solution then is reboot.

Other than that, it's been great.

cm-10-20120909-EXPERIMENTAL-grouper-burnsra.zip is unbootable for me, it just loads CM bootanimation forever. I can't get into recovery to restore backup either :/ probably have to get on a computer with ADB.

edit: nvm just got into recovery. We're good. Don't try running 09/09 people!

Any idea why on any cm10 builds my instant uploads/picasa web albums don't show up in my gallery?

0909 is bootable, but from what I can tell it needs a full data wipe before it'll boot properly. Not sure what got changed, but it's experimental for sure!

I presume you already tried settings > accounts > your account > and checked all the boxes ?

Any idea how to remove the blue borders when you change homescreens?

thats what i was wondering. I think the trebuchet port has to be finished, as I don't see an option for transition animations. Temporary workaround is to use a different launcher, although I would prefer not, so I wait for it to be finished :p

Fair enough, but guess I can wait :)

There's even a newer one than that.

There is a PicSync version and a non-PicSync version. As of now, you have to chose between PicSync (Picasa Web Albums) and the CM customized camera. Obviously, on the Nexus 7, we're not missing out on much by foregoing the CM camera.

There's more info about the updated gapps packages here:

Damnit Jeep, for a second I thought I was browsing in the HOX forums :)

Use the updated GApps with Pic Sync. I've had zero problems with those compared to the problems with the older Gapps.

    Device Maintainers...

No-one knows who the device maintainer is for the Nexus 7.

There's a team. I have been doing it for a few weeks and did the recent 4.1.2 kernel mass-push. KalimAZ has joined in recently, and has been committing some of the recent contributions, and burnsra and I think blunden have +2 as well.

The thread I'm watching most is the "Build CM10" one, though I'm bouncing around the various CM10 threads, generally speaking.

Best way to make a contribution of course is via gerrit. OC and other kernel mods are being accepted there.

This build is exactly what you would get if Jenkins built from CM10 source one hour ago:

    http://goo.im/devs/zigackly/roms/grouper/cm10_nightly/cm-10-20121021-UNOFFICIAL-grouper.zip

Hope you enjoy it. If Jenkins fails again, let me know in this thread and I'll build another.

So I've been wondering, I know that the CM team don't like requests for ETAs, but as people seem to be having success with unofficial builds, will we see N7 10.1 nightlies soon?

How is this not a request for an ETA?

New Tablet UI patch 20121013 confirmed working with nightly build 20121012. However, I have had to roll back the extended desktop functionality temporarily as that was causing the scroll glow problem. I think I know how to fix it, but it will be later today as I'm going to spend some time with my family now :)

The problem with the accelerometer happens for me even with a clean build from a repo sync with none of my customisations in it. I'm working on it, and I won't give up. Until then, the patch will give you tablet mode with CM10.

My apologies for all the little glitches in the last couple of days. Been busy trying to make the android 4.1.2 changes work on two devices with quite different problems. I'm still not 100% there but I'm learning, and that's half the point of this exercise for me.

    New patch is here:
