Got a quick question for people Using this rom

I just jumped the Nexus one train..yes been 2 years and Got an HD2 for $70 :)

Texasice just got full hardware acceleration to work (kernal based) on his ICS rom. Just curious does this rom have full HWA or is it GPU hacked.

Thanks and hope to get this rom up and running by tonight.

hey,
i'm using your v1.3 ics-rom and its working fine! thanks for your great work!

i want to ask if there is a possibility to disable that the sms-messenger automatically converts a long SMS (min. 3) to an MMS? i've got a SMS-flat rate, so i have to pay for every MMS and that annoys.
i know that i could use an app like handcent, but i like the sms-messenger in android like it is - so maybe there is a possibility to disable this function.

thanks!

The only way I found to resolve this issue I used to have is to install Handcent SMS because there's an option in the app that allows you to disable automatic conversion to MMS...
I couldn't find how to disable it with the native app.

Read the first post (hint: it says "hacked").

The problem (and the reason why this thread is full of n00bs with n00b questions) is that the ROM is labeled as "1.3" with no work in progress disclaimer in the OP whatsoever.

You and I know it's a beta, but it's not stated anywhere.

Not true, people asked noob questions because they either fail to read the first post or wiki, nor use the search button. Beta or Alpha in the title has never stopped the veracity of noob questions IMHO.

this is because some kernels have a different pppox implementation.
to get rid of this there is a define in
~/android/system/device/htc/XXXX/BoardConfig.mk

BOARD_KERNEL_NEW_PPPOX := true

if so, try to define it false:

BOARD_KERNEL_NEW_PPPOX := false

This would be a big plus for me if it works... I'd like to +1 the request to give it a try in the next version so I can test it.

Thanks

just updated to 1.3 from 1.1 and even though the changelog states that the amber notification light is supposed to be working now, I get no lights at all when I receive a message of any kind. Is there a known fix for this or am I on my own here?

Well I've searched this thread several times and found nothing except others asking the same question with no response. Seriously? Nobody has any input on this problem at all? Is this a problem for everyone or just a few?

Thanks dear for this great work...
But i think i gonna go back to gingerbread.

Phone reboot several time a day, without reasons.

Playing video (same movies as test than with my previous 2.3) is a pain in the ass, even the phone recorded video from my previous installation run very very slow (1pic/2sec) ...

So may be i did something wrong... i dont know really but i think hard to go back to 2.3 waiting for some statibility and improvement...

:)
Phone reboots (in my case) were initiated with combination of unwritable block (resolved by format of /system partition+ROM flash) and "noncompatible" CPU speed for my phone - 1152 Mhz, so try playing with these 2 options.

Is 1.3 very unstable?

Well I've searched this thread several times and found nothing except others asking the same question with no response. Seriously? Nobody has any input on this problem at all? Is this a problem for everyone or just a few?
My LEDs work, but since 1.3 the blink and are no longer solid plus the pause inbetween is quite big, I prefered it the solid way.

I don't know about you guys, but 1.3 is by far the worst for me in terms of stability, I have reboots, freezes and even had an SOD this morning. I have never had such issues on 1.0-1.2. I was briefly using cLK 1.5.0-rc1, but I had a feeling that the freezes were even worse plus I kept loosing data connection a lot, so I went back to 1.4.0.1, but still the freezes keep on happening.

I will try to run aLogcat all the time and periodically save the logs, hopefully there will be something in there.

Again, anybody else having a similar experience?

Same problem for me. In fact I have this green led notification when I receive a message but the blink is really too fast and most of time I can't see it.
In 1.2 I had not this problem since the led notification was not blinking :)

Read the first post, or second post maybe, can't remember and im not looking just coz you can't be f**k*d searching, there is a link about the camera, it is not working properly. The HD2 does not have full HW acceleration so getting the camera working on a gpu hack is hard making it crappy. Deal with it and use the f*ing search button for f**ks sake.

And no im not going to apologize.
