Well, at least in Mesmerize's case, our stock is still GB. We don't have a base ICS stock yet. Not sure how Fascinate is.


Either way, like i said, since i've used ICS builds starting 3 weeks ago, i've never had to flash any THS build before going to the rom i want. Re-partition stock > CWM4 > Main Rom > Gapps

Obviously not the case for everyone i guess.

OOOR wait, after you re-partition to stock (eh03 radio im assuming?), are you installing CWM4 (for CM7) via odin first? If your not 4.0 or later that could be causing your issues.

yes it's eh03, Yes i let the phone boot up the stock rom then i flashed cwm4_fixed_for_cm7 via odin.

Same goes for the Fascinate. Stock is still GB. I don't know if the cause was ever determined. I believe it's still the case with the THS builds too. You still need to flash THS build 2 before you flash the latest builds there. Must be missing some critical system files for basic functionality. It's so easy to just flash THS Bld 2 first that the effort to resolve isn't worth it to anyone.

Are you running a Glitched up build, or AOKP stock? The scripts for callboost are only in the nightly exynos builds.

Wife's Fascinate running this ROM just the way it came and if I'm not mistaken still on build 29 or 30. She doesn't let me touch her phone often but finally let me update from rooted stock to ICS and everything worksd great except she can't talk to anyone on speakerphone because the static and noise is so bad both parties can't hear eachother.

Needless to say she isn't happy with me for "breaking" her phone as she puts it since her speakerphone capability was fine on froyo, lol

Hear you loud and clear, bro. Wife's got a Nook. I don't touch it, lest I open up the gates of hell should it have a problem :rolleyes:

Edit: Figured I should also try to help ya out. The callboost script lives in /system/bin. Try calling it via the absolute path in TE, or check to make sure it's in that location. If it is, could be some weird issue with your PATH var.

Edit 2: Crap, I just realized you were running Bld 30. I don't think the script made it in until a later build. Flash the latest.

Is there any way to wipe voltage settings? I've got them set via ROM Control, but I cannot recall what the default voltages are and I'm having some concerns about my battery.

With a range 200-1500, glitchass, 110% I got about 11 hours today and that was with 8 hours on Airplane Mode! Unacceptable! So I'd like to start over.

Also, if anybody has any suggestions as to which scheduler/governor combo is most battery-friendly and what kinds of voltage range/settings/OC-UV would work to that end, I'd be a happy camper.

I wouldn't advise pushing your phone up to 1500 if you want it to last on a charge or last in general.

Look to the glitch thread for some more profiles. But I am currently running 20% liveoc 100mhz-1200mhz on conservative governor. LiveOC applied from 800-1200. I get between 4.5-6 hours of screen time and roughly a day on a charge.

Other people recommend a 110% live oc but you can see more that in the glitch thread.

I honestly can't believe this phone runs as smoothly as it has been on glitched AOKP. Its even safe enough for me to flash to my moms phone, and she is in love. Thanks so much devs for all the awesomeness. I'm more than satisfied as of now and eager to see what the future holds!

I flashed a stock build of ICS 4.0.4 with apex over top to my girlfriends epic 4g touch to test the waters. So far so good.

I have been very impressed with ICS. Visually its not terribly different fro. Any other android build but it is about the little things. I cannot see ever going back to give gingerbread and don't understand why anyone with a phone with an aokp port wouldn't flash it. I thought JTs early CM7 build with glitch was smooth(and they were...not trying to put down JT...he is incredible)but aokp with glitch is flawless. I have been flashing this since it was released and have been wondering why it isn't official since milestone 3. The few problems I have with aokp are so insignificant it doesn't bother me.


A+++++ to all the devs. I know my post has nothing to do with the development of this rom but I just wanted to show my appreciation. This rom is incredible.

Well since she has "ordered" me to get he phone fixed by the weekend I will tell her the only way I'd to update to build 32 and flash glitch kernel. Than I'll adjust settings in TE. Or would you all suggest just keeping kernel that comes with ROM. She has to have 100 percent stability or I'm back in the dog house, lol.

    Do to the total disregard for the flashing instructions and some individuals trying to find answers without attempting to find it themselves first. I have come up with a list of things I except to see before I will even acknowledge a question from here on out.

    If you have a Question try these first.

    1) You must me on the most recent Devil up build. Questions about AOKP Official builds or older Glitched builds should be referred to the most recent Devil up build first. Verify you are on the right ROM having people complain about having a mesmerize on the Verizon network or not getting data/mms because they flashed a Fascinate ROM is ridiculous. If you don't even know what device your on you shouldn't be flashing custom ROMs.

    2) You should try a redownload of the ROM and Gapps, a wipe of data, dalvik, and cache, a flash and a test of the problem before restoring apps or data. That includes the back this phone up option in the gaps installer. Don't check it that until you test your issue.

    3) If you problem is with a single app delete it and redownload it from Google play.

    4) Read the OP and the last 10 pages of the thread completely, if your answer is there your question will be ignored. It will take you just as long to read those pages as it will for me to find it and copy it or re type it.

    5) Believe me when I say I take a lot of pride in this ROM. We use this ROM everyday. We test every feature before it's released. If you say you are having an issue and we tell you it's not the ROM…. It's you if you try and argue that your posts will be ignored.

    For some reason build 35 doesn't like some apps on the SDcard if you are getting Acore FCs logcat the next force close and move the app responsible to the phone memory.

    Build 35.1
    DROPPED HYBRID FOR NOW
    Fixed themes and the acore force closes due to apps on the SDcard.

    Build 36-38
    Now builds SW kernel fresh in every build
    No more wifi scan internal, now wifi scans in background
    Sbrissen fix for split SMS

    Build 39
    Official support for Mesmerize and Showcase.

    Build 40
    Switch to the Devil kernel
    Using Linaro 4.7.1 toolchain

    Init.d appears to still be broken if you want/need it push this to /init.d

    Official build has Glitch and the regular toolchain, Devil has Devil (.99) and the linaro toolchain. Both kernels are interchangable so find which rom/kernel combo works for you and sit tight while we wait/work on Jelly Bean.

    We had a meeting last night. Ok so here is the plan. Milestone6 will be aokp's last ics build. We start on jelly bean after the source drops. Milestone6 will come with 2 options the official non linaro build for those with issues, and I will put out a linaro build for those who want it. I will include the latest devil kernel, and from here until jelly bean look too the devil for kernel updates. He had assured me he will be making devil kernels for jb. No etas, we are waiting for the source drop.

    Linaro milestone 6 is in the oven it wont be out until tomorrow morning so I can test it. it will come with devil 99 unless there is an issue. As you guys know this is our last ics build so I gave you all the options you could ask for as far as linaro/glitch/devil combinations find the one that works for you and sit tight for JB.

    For those of you who aren't on Twitter... (ask yourself why) JT has got the fascinate up and running on CM10 (everything but GPS) he should be posting a build shortly (next few days...) He's also dropping his source (why I love him and also why everything I do is 100% open) so you guys should be getting so CM10 and AOKP love on Jelly bean very shortly. Congrats on staying alive through another update fassy owners...
