[Q] HD7 custom rom CID 207 bootloader 5.11.2250.0

Hi everyone.

I've read many topics about custom roms (xda develop.) and i'm still not sure if will it work. I don't want brick my hd7

Device: HTC HD7
System: 7.10.8107.79 (MANGO ?)
Firmware: 2250.21.51101.207 (cid 207= o2 DE)
Hardwarerevision: 0002
Bootloader: 5.11.2250.0 (134400)

PD29100 SS-BC (4K)
SPL-5.11.2250.0(134400) MNG
MicroP(LED) 0x07
TOUCH S1(v1.8,#1624)

I would like to have inside my hd7 Deepshining v7.6 - "if you have mango then you have to downgrade bootloader 4.xx or 5.xx with NODO.."
Ok but there are only one zip rom for cid 401..

After research i've found a topic - [NoDo ROM]HD7_O2_DE_1.69.401.01_Radio_5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.1 0U_NoDo, by ansar
But i'm not sure if i can with these 2 zip rom file downgrade my SPL

RUU_Schubert_O2_DE_1.69.401.01_Radio_5.54.09.21_22 .33b.50.10U_NoDo_by_ansar
RUU_Schubert_O2_DE_1.69.401.01_Radio_5.54.09.21_22 .33b.50.10U_NoDo_Signed_by_ansar

After that i need to install RSPL and HSPL.

At the end i can flash DeepShining ROM.

It is correct ?

try 1 and if that dont work then try the other,
yes then RSPL/HSPL
then custom rom

and

result - flash write error 226

any advice ?

this has been reported in the past too..
what % dose it get to?
after each try go to bootloader and check tri screen as it might still downgrade HSPL

nope, booltloader is untouched, still 5.11.2250.0 (134400)

would you have a restore point in zune, as that the best way to go back to a earlier build and no download reqiured.

for a week, i've bought used phone with current build

i've no idea about the o2 branding..

as I understand I have to install one of those 3 rom's but which one can you me recommendet ?

ok , no zune restore point,,,

just start with the first one and work your way down, be sure to check bootloader info after each attempt.

SPL & Firmware

Hi Chotu

I have the exact same specs as you have same HTC HD7 everything the same.

I was researching a lot but still had no success finding a concrete fix for this.
Still searching for an answer.This thing is unbelievably risky man. We could remain
with a cold brick in our hands

Anyway did you have any success downgrading the SPL? New tips that worth trying?

Chotu_ I made my own Y cable and used goldcard method...........it takes a while and alot of reading in the forums but im now using custom rom! Superb!

Chotu_ - I used the O2 UK Schubert Shipped Rom for my goldcard ROM - (RUU_Schubert_O2_UK_1.68.206.03_Radio_5.63.09.13_3a_22.36.50.15_Signed_SCH) Look at the this post it contains all the Shipped ROMS O2 DE ones are listed. This wont be the final ROM you use but its purpose is to get you back to a bootloader verison (in my case 1.68) that can run RSPL/HSPL

You dont run the rom exe you have to extract the RUU_Signed.nbh file from the exe and rename it to SCHUIMG.nbh and copy to goldcard. Just follow all the steps carefully from the goldcard thread.

Once the goldcard method worked and it did take a while to get it going - i was back on bootloader 1.68 with a NODO version of WM7 - After this I then had to follow the instructions from the RSPL/HSPL thread to install cotullas bootloader. Once on the Cotulla bootloader its just a case of downloading deepshining ROM, booting to the bootloader and flashing!

The only thing really I found confusing is that you have to downgrade to upgrade!

I really have to stress that its a case of reading through posts.....I spent a good few hours of research before I done the proecess! Credit goes out to all the Devs that made this possible.

With the help of Viper i've finally Deepshining rom on my phone.

I bought a Y-cable and i made a goldcard with 512MB kingstone SD card (GoldCardTool_0.0.5).

I used RUU_Schubert_O2_DE_3.04.207.01_Radio_5.66.09.21a_22.48.50.21_Signed_SCHUBERT_RELEASE to downgrade my bootloader.

reboot...

success

RSPL and HSPL with DFT_XSPL_WP7FG3

Finally i flashed deepshining rom

Chotu_ - Great news! It gave me a great sense of achievement when I finally flashed mine!

Unlocked wm7 is so much more useful......for me anyways.
