So... I leapt over from Turkbey's V11 after he sadly retired from I9100 dev after buying a new I9300 to this ROM after much consideration.
Liking so far, after installing the Supercharger script (thanks @zylor for
this mod of the original)
On starting the Titanium Backup Pro app for the traditional TB Pro, I was greeted with a warning that the "Android Device ID" had changed and would I like to restore the old one...
"What the heck", I thought...
I'd not heard of such an field before so, being a good XDA member, I did a little research and found the check in a recent TB changelog...
My main concern was "oh my, what if this is something carried over from the dev / cooks own system" (having seen other interesting values carried over elsewhere).
The answer to that is that it's randomised at time of first boot after a factory reset.
So... to save those who find themselves wondering what's happening and regularly use search before posting,
this is an informative article I found on a GIT Hub shareme.
Incidently,
The GrotWorkshop is worthy of further exploration
I do have a residual fear that this opens a path to device dependant licenses for Android apps (think Paid Apps and Pro Keys for specific device instance / google account combinations and shudder).
I hope this helps someone.
Tom
(hoping that he hasn't missed a post like this in the thread or elsewhere on XDA 'cause that would be too embarressing)
