I think they've changed the way they make their cases. For instance the area around the charging ports and the headphone ports are much larger.
I also picked up the Tough Armor case and I'm very pleased with it. It's taken at least 4 drops now and hasn't even scuffed... that's pretty remarkable.

i got the zerolemon 7500mah battery came with tpu that fits this time, and i am waiting on full protection version.

Anybody thinks there's a case with a gated camera opening ? I like to keep camera clean and scratchless.
I had this case but got annoyed on how easy it was to push the buttons. Kept butt dialing and clicking pandora. I know I could of setup a pin unlock but that's annoying also. either way it's still an awesome case.I remember we did this for the S4 when it first came out and it gave me some great ideas about looking outside cheap Chinese junk rubber cases for a decent case.
This time around I got the Spigen Neo Hybrid ( see here )
I'll update the photo when I get mine in. Kinda excited.
So I question you, what do you plan on doing to keep your S5 safe?
Seidio Dilex. I had a Spigen at first, but in all honesty there was little to no face-first drop protection. The Seidio has a much deeper lip around the front. I really like it and I even got the belt holster that Seidio makes with the top spring clip to go with it. Great investment for me.

love it, i've dropped it a few times with a minor stroke in the process lol BUT i gotta say, i love this case. I do not like bulky cases because i place the phone in my pocket. SO def a great buy for a slim case! :good::laugh:
