You may try this app , Wake Lock - PowerManager , free from market.

*I never use it, but from desc & comment ..given positive feedback. :)

Thats the app that wake the phone every 5 minutes? Its useless, if you are chating via whatsapp or any chat and you lock your phone you will have to wait 5 min till it notify a new chat?

You are talking about "wake my android pro".

Wake lock - power management lets you acquire wakelocks, meaning it will keep your phone constantly awake. It will never go to deep sleep, but your battery life will be very affected.

I am not sure if I am the only one facing this issue @1.3GHz.

After around 12-20 hrs, WIFI will somehow unable to connect and sometime reboot randomly.

Or am I the isolated case?

Do you mean WIFI usage for continuous span of 12-20hrs?

May be it depends on your usage.
I am on v3009, never faced a random reboot.

Thanks for explain. I am using this app, but it really drains battery. So theres no solution for the notification bug? In froyo this happens?

@napster-This kernel works fine on the latest rom ddkp3 :) which has improvements in battery efficiency, speed and better memory management :) give it a try if u'd like :) u can edit the op saying it supports ddkp3 (to avoid noob posts asking for this) ! seems like its gonna replace xxkpq :D

As far as I know, froyo did not have the push notification bug. It has been introduced in gingerbread, and there is no solution so far, but keeping your phone awake, which will drain your battery.

Sorry guys not sure if this is right to ask here, i have gone thru the FAQ and other forum before posting it here my doubt. I am on UC v9 kernel with DDKP9 Stock Rom, which is very fantastick and smooth compare to other Mod roms and stocks... but i have a issue since i got this devices past 2months before i had LG Optimus and the sd-ext on recovery used to work fine and i had app2sd and dalvik2sd but i dont get the sd-ext mounted on recovery, so can any one fix or help to get this fixed on Galaxy SL i9003

I formatted and partitioned the sdcard using this recovery

I have 16gb card - 2048mb ext4 - 64mb linux-swap - and the rest fat32

everytime i goto wipe dalvik i get e:unknown volume for path [sd-ext]
everytime i go to nandroid backup it says no sd-ext found
.android_secure folder is present on the sdcard

i know i have sd-ext, why do i see this error?

Quick reply will do. no need to use 1st post and waste bandwidth.

Because of this, even I know the answer, my lips are sealed.

there has been explanation on this before, the newer versions of cwm have this error, but it's not an error. it's simply a bit of "uncleaned" code that's no longer necessary. your cwm is working properly. now clean up your first post and remove that quote! ;)

This was because the earlier cwm used to backup internal SD card too. But lately stopped doing so. Sd-ext refers to internal SD card. No problem with cwm though. Just ignore the error.

I faced this problem day before yesterday only. And this will be fixed in next release.
If you need it badly then send me a pm I will tell you a temporary workaround using adb.

It looks like, it is high time to shift to ics. ;)

Ok, guys. we will start working on porting our kernel for other rom. :)

    @ UC team

Guys I know that u are working with alot of hard work for making stock kernel much much better with good features. But except vurrut no one is specifically creating kerels for AOSP roms. Now a days no one is using (or very few people are using it) cm7 or GB based miui roms. Everyone is excited about ICS based Dhiru's cm9 rom. But he is also alone working on it & he is struggling alot to make it a daily usable rom. But we can't expect everything from him on such tough development of cm9 which includes new drivers, wifi problems, most tough development of kernel 3.0 & many more problems.
We all expect from u guys that please help Dhiru by working on ICS kernel. Also many users seriously facing blacklight issue which causes a heavy battery drain on cm7 & now on cm9 roms. So please take a look into that also. We all will be thankful to u :)

    Thank You

    Regards
    VISHAL

[ how to install our kernel ]

    1. download the kernels's .tar file
    2. check the md5hash of the file to ensure file integrity
    3. reboot device into Download mode
    4. connect to PC via USB cable
    5. start ODIN
    6. make sure that device is detected
    7. click on PDA and select the file u downloaded
    8. now click start
    9. after flashing is successful the device will reboot

[ how to get back to stock kernel ]

    1. download the file given below
    2. check the md5hash of the file to ensure file integrity
    3. reboot device into Download mode
    4. connect to PC via USB cable
    5. start ODIN
    6. make sure that device is detected
    7. click on PDA and select the file u downloaded
    8. now click start
    9. after flashing is successful the device will reboot
    10. you will now be back on stock kernel
