Hi, can someone send original nakasig tilapia 3G 4.2.1 JOP40D framework-res.apk to me, because i have Tethering/Wifi Hotspot for the Nexus 7 3G mod installed and i can't update 4.2.2 without framework error, if original framework restore helps i will inform here so that other who have same problem can do the same trick.
Sadly i didn't copy my original framework-res.apk before i flash Tethering mod :(

Your answer is 2 pages back; anyone failing an assert on a file needs to follow one of the two methods I posted.

The charger not starting when battery was too low: http://www.droid-life.com/2012/12/27/fix-nexus-7-refusing-to-charge-try-this-trick/.

And when booting after you put it on the charger, it would shut down again almost immediately because it wasn't drawing enough to run and also charge.

Edit: I can also confirm reports that adb isn't working correctly when USB Debugging is enabled. The connection notifications show as they should, but the PC sees the following:

Code:
>adb devices
List of devices attached
<s/n> offline

"offline" instead of "device". fastboot and adb via custom recovery still work fine. This is only the case on the N7, no problems with this on my GN, which works automatically. Attempted using both v19 and v21 (current) of the platform-tools.

The workaround is typing "adb usb" in Terminal Emulator, and rebooting. Then possibly also "adb kill-server" and then "adb start-server" on your PC to online the device.

I'm not sure where to post this but, I'm running a stock rooted N7 and just wanted to know if I'm going to receive the OTA or do I need to use a Root keeper App to get the OTA update pushed to me? Also does it matter that I'm using CWMR ? Sorry I'm new to this with my Nexus 7

1. You will get ota notification when it rolls out for your device.
2. If you don't use the rootkeeper app, you will loose root.
3. I don't use cwmr, I have no idea. On twrp, it installed just fine as if its running stock recovery.

Well, like I said before, I just flashed stock 4.2.1 image and relocked. Tryed to update via adb sideload now, and again getting error caused by play books apk. I don't understand this, as I'm on totally stock 4.2.1.

If you're not rooted, relocking was a bad idea. You'll wipe your data if you ever want to unlock again to use fastboot..

There is never a need to relock a nexus device.

It doesn't matter if the file runs, it's not stock, so go back a few pages where I linked the methods to replace your modified system files with the originals.

Yeah... JFN53N shipped on the pre-release models given away at Google I/O 2012 but never shipped on production devices. The first production devices shipped with JRN84D, thus why I begin the thread there. Thanks for that, though.
