[THE BASICS]

Before we get started you will need to have the following:

MUST HAVE A CUSTOM RECOVERY INSTALLED

MUST BE ROOTED

MUST HAVE SOME TYPE OF KNOWLEDGE FLASHING.

This is the sequence I use for every ROM flash:

HOW TO FLASH A CUSTOM ROM

IMPORTANT - DO A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU CHANGE OR FLASH ANYTHING! MAKE IT THE LAW

1) Complete nandroid backup ( I use TWRP )

2) Wipe within TWRP (wipe details in the rom threads)(Now with a 1step wipe option)
[FACTORY RESET + CLEAR CACHE + CLEAR DALVIK CACHE + CLEAR SYSTEM]

3) Flash the rom of choice

4) Flash the kernel of choice (Important: your carriers kernel)

5) Reboot [Let the phone settle for 5-10 min, give it time to set itself up] Continue your setup and enjoy.

Simple eh? Yes

always cracks me up. you just mention two CORE operations of a mobile media device like the GS4 but somehow it's super stable and smooooth lol.

It's not even FULLY FUNCTIONAL, so it's NOT GOOD.

Except that those aren't core operations to every user. I don't ever use bluetooth and rarely use video recording if ever, and the rom is much smoother than touchwiz. So don't tell people what is not good, you clearly have no idea of the concept of an opinion

I don't use NFC or BT. I can also live with no camera video audio (it was actually a recent discovery and they are working on a flash here shortly). I also didn't say it was fully functional, I was merely answering the OP's post about what ROM I am using. Troll somewhere else.

Its been blazing fast compared to the stock ROM, and there is not one thing I cannot do that I would originally do on the stock ROM besides record video correctly. So yes it is still super stable and smooth.

Would love to get a Deodexed, Rooted and zip aligned base Rom (not debloated). We could then debloat as we want and the add Mods as we like. The mod could be int the mod and Apks section.

I flashed Wicked 2 with the faux m kernel and all went well. I had to input my APN and set the LTE/Wcdma for LTE to work. But it functioned very well.

Is no one running MDOB? I personally am and think it is great. I don't know of anything not working, but whose to say there isn't a bug I haven't noticed. Keeps the stock looks but removes/adds the features I like. I'd recommend it.

There are problems with some of the Samsung Apps and other Items. I have installed it and it works fine expect for some of the apks I want to use which are missing. For some it is a great alternative.

Do you know which Samsung apps are not working of the top of your head? I haven't tried many of them as I was planning on debloating once I had a recovery anyways.
