I hope this isn't repeating a question asked elsewhere, but all pictures where deleted from Nexus 5 after 4.4.4 update. There are many with same issue on google forum. any reply would be appreciated. I've tried to picture recovery programs on win 7 pc, but the programs won't connect to the device even though I can browse folders with windows explorer. Help please.

It's strange that the pics were deleted. Did you double check and see from a file manager whether the files are gone or not?
If they are deleted, they're gone for good. It's always a good habit to have a backup of all your data elsewhere.
