Hello,

@ Simone

I want to say about the paid version of your next Neakkernel version .. Were you should not even one of those who gave sometime ago a statement on the Paid Version of the Phoenix kernel, because you will not find in order to pay for something, but it should be it a donation? And now you did exactly the same..

I respect your hard work and you do it really good! (It's one of my favorite Kernel) But other Dev's also make good kernel/ ROM 's request, and only the voluntary donation gives the Dev's the motivation to continue ..

You can insult me all the time now, is just my opinion..

Sorry, my English ist not the best..

i think u've misunderstood, his free app has everything that his neak options in recovery mode has, there's NO NEED to buy the paid app.. in addition, i STRONGLY believe that those who're planning to buy his paid app (like me, for instance) are plainly hoping to support all the effort he has put into this kernel.. in short, it is to thanks simone for his kernel..

Although you are right that Simone was indeed one of the people that criticized the paid version of the Void / Phoenix kernel, Simone isn't making N.E.A.K. Kernel itself paid. Its (just) the NEAK configurator app that will be paid.

The way I understand it, every function of the paid version of the app can still be done with other free apps or in the N.E.A.K. modded CWM menu (right?!)

Yep fully true...it is like an addition...and for people who want to support my work

Others can normally use the free app ;)

That is the right way!
Pay the app - get easy access to configurations. Use free - have all the features but not the easy functionally. People pay for comfort not for the use :)

I like this kind of business. And of course I'll buy the app :)

And still Junglist made a point, since the concept is the same as it was in the Phoenix project.

The Phoenix app was even way better because it offered more options and especially needed no reboot to apply the chosen new settings (eg sched_mc on or off etc.).

Let's hope for a further development by Simone.

Yeah, they ruined the Phoenix kernel with they stupid flamewar for no reason. Really, what is to them if the app is paid or not, if he changed the name of gove. or not. If i want to pay I will pay, if kernel is good i will use it, dont need them to tell me. Hope it wont happen here, love this kernel. Since its combined with Turkbey rom a have amazing performance and battery, cant wait for 1.4 and Neak app.

You lot forgot to mention that Knzo used work from people he did not give the proper credits to and deleted lines from the commits or gits whatever you call them. Plain and simple you use other peoples work you should at least give them the credits they deserve and not base it that you was the originator. Entropy GM and even Simone have stated that in their posts. Entropy actually did give him the chance to correct himself and give him the chance to say oh dear me sorry for the mistake but he kept on trying to defend himself with pointless posts. And regards to what you lot say about when Simone releases his paid app firstly i doubt it will be as high as the Phoenix app and second Simone has nothing to hide and all his sources are open and there for people to see and gives credits to the proper people so no Entropy and GM will not come on this thread and start flaming as Simone has nothing to hide and he has both of their support. Sorry for the long message Simone you do your thing man i just had to clear few things here

No, the way you put it it is not true. The issue never was about using others work without giving proper credits. The cause for the issue was a bit more ridiculous since it circled around certain statements concerning lionheart govenor vs lionheart tweaks being true or not.

But that should be it for now. This thread is Simone's and should deal with NEAK and NEAR - btw any news on the latter?

yes true what you are saying but it is regarding the proper origin of were actually Lionheart came from hence why the lines being deleted of the patches of people who actually put in the work. Hence why Entropy and GM tried to correct him about that..But anyway as you say lets not go on about past stuff lets concentrate on the brilliant work of our Italian Maestro Simone201:D

i do not want to start a debate either my friend but you lot are missing my point. My point is that Simone has nothing to fear off because he has done nothing wrong. And it is not a paid app it is merely something to support his work. Most of the stuff will be executable by the free app anyway so by getting the paid app as you guys say it is only to support his work to continue his magic. That is all. And Entropy and GM will not start flaming just because he has a paid app because again i will say this he has done nothing wrong all his sources are there for people to see and he pays credit to those who should be credited and any tweaks or patches he has added again the names are there for people to see. So short answer no flaming will be going on here.

And as you guys said lets end this discussion here and all wait for the next update by the man himself.:D

Thanks for defending me mate! ;)

As i said, the free app includes all the special neak features, so anyone can use it without having to buy the pro version

The paid one (that will cost the half of phoenix app) is kinda a "surplus" to have an app to fully configure anything, such as frequencies, voltages, govs and schedulers...without the need of using VC or any other app...

So take it as a small donation our work and not as a "must have"

Anyway, the free app is open source, anyone can find its sources, also i use a git repo so anything i do is reported there, nothing to hide guys (not like knzo did)

I hope u guys understand now

Yup. Paid app I don't care about. Using fraud to drive sales of a paid app, especially fraud based on spreading false claims about others' work, along with violating the GPL (knzo was not posting his latest sources) that I care about.

The Knzo issue had little to do with a paid app, other than it made me curious and read his thread. That's when I found him making blatantly false claims regarding the capabilities of other kernels including Simone's. The Knzo situation was not about any one thing - it was a collection of things that, when taken together, showed a clear pattern of unethical behavior.

The Ninphetamine Rebirth situation was similarly about fraud - Using another kernel developer's branding (the Ninphetamine name) without that developer's permission (Hacre never gave permission for the Ninphetamine name to be reused) to try and gain legitimacy rather than letting your work prove itself on its own is another form of fraud. It is worse if you begin damaging the value of that brand with a product whose quality is not consistent with that brand. If he hadn't called it Ninphetamine he would've been fine.

Good luck with your app, Simone.

NEAK CONFIGURATOR APP: What is that?
    FREE ----> PRO PAID ---->
The new NEAK CONFIGURATOR APP is now available into both ANDROID MARKET and YAAM (Yet Another Android Market)

THIS APP IS MADE BY SIMONE201 AND NRK_2K (member of near team)

It is a useful app to help people use the special customizable features of NEAK kernel, without going into recovery.

It now includes also the NEAK Downloader, useful to download the NEAK OTA Updater app!

The new CONFIGURATOR PRO will also allow you to have full control of every NEAK feature!!

For more infos, read this wiki: http://code.google.com/p/neak-kernel-sgs2/wiki/NEAKConfiguratorApplication
And that one for PRO: http://code.google.com/p/neak-kernel-sgs2/wiki/NEAKConfiguratorPro

There will be also a PRO app, paid on the market, still under development!

Please help us with a DONATION to sustain the costs of the android market!

NEAK OTA UPDATER: How it works
THE NEAK UPDATER CAN BE DOWNLOADED ONLY WITH THE NEAK CONFIGURATOR APP!! (section downloader)
Run it, and let it download the new NEAK OTA Updater app, that will be auto installed easily :)

Every time there will be any updates, u will be advised by the app itself, or just push CHECK NOW to see if there are updates! :D

Is fully based on GingerMod Updater, with some mods to be kernel compatible and to have full support for CWM5 flashing

If an there is an update, just click on DOWNLOAD and when the download is finished the app will ask to reboot to recovery now or later....

If you choose later, then you can go to the app section EXISTING and flash the downloaded zip from there! :)

    NEAK OTA UPDATER: Extras
To let the EXTRAS part available, do this:

MENU BUTTON ----> Configuration ----> Extra Update Settings ----> Manage Extra Servers ----> MENU BUTTON ----> Update Featured Extra Servers

The NEAK Extra server will appear, then you will be able to update the EXTRAS part and see the new amazing extras additions for NEAK KERNEL!!

ok. nice to see that backup works. I am sending the tiny diff to simone...
simone, you should be a little more careful about what you commit. newer is not always better and blind commits can sometimes cause these problems.

    Yeah....

Going to release an update tomorrow with some new changes including this one :)

    Thanks gm for helping!
