[ROM] Atrix CM9 [ADT's SelfKANGish builds - 20120715]

Search This thread
is this the same build as "ADT's SelfKANGish builds" .....?
Not that I'm aware of... as the builder of the Tablet Mod is different from this CM9 Kang.
But leonardoaraujo usually tests which is the best of CM9 mods and cook some upgrades for the Tablet UI as well. You should take a look and test if you are interested :)

If you want to cook your own ROM, you can take a look at http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1483221 and get an idea of how Tablet mod started on Atrix.
But this post is quite outdated (about 2 months ago, I think) so probably it should be quite buggy compared to the builds we have today.

The latest build gives a good stability over previous build. I use it as my daily ROM. Only a few glitches need to be fixed. Camera sometimes FC if we press quickly, data switcher on status bar still not working,720HD video playback can't be played. Can be fixed by using third party such as MX Player but still not smooth. Anyway, good progress.. thanks,turl1. You are genious.

Can anyone get MTP working? I have tried, and my phone says "Connected as a media device", but my computer isn't seeing it. It is working great on my Xoom, so I have a feeling its not a computer issue.

Is there any way to get the kernel from v11 in a CWM flashable zip? This is the only CM9 kernel out right now that plays well with my phone.

Did you mean Kitchen Sink v1.11? If so, the zip offers three boot.img files, each one corresponding to a different clock frequency. I pulled the one from "/customize/kernel/jokboot1.45" and did this:

fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot

and was up and running at 1.45 GHz max.

Hope this helps.:)

Thanks for the info, but Turl is using a different kernel according to the OP. I'm looking for his kernel instead of Joker's. I'm having data drops and random reboots on all ROMs that use Joker's kernels. I don't have those issues when using Turl's v11, so I'm looking for his kernel.

Has anyone else had any issues with Bluetooth staying connected? It keeps disconnecting from my helmet. Its not very easy to reconnect while riding ;) I haven't tested another device to the helmet yet, I'll try when I get home, just wondering what others Bluetooth experience is.

Does anyone else have the problem that if the loudspeaker is turned on during conversation the mic goes off? If the loudspeaker is switched off again the other person can hear me again. I'm having this problem with every built from Turl so far (I think I started with v5).

Well, given the confusion that was arising on jokersax's thread, I'm opening this one to keep things a bit more organized. You are still encouraged to (and you should, really) read the other thread, and play with both builds. Feel free to compare them, and make sure you mention which build are you using.

    Tips for this build:
    • If you are getting weird stuff, go to CWM, format /system (mounts & storage menu), flash CM9, flash gapps, reboot. If you are still getting weird stuff, do a normal wipe/factory reset.
    • Don't flash any 2D fixes
    • Don't flash any kernels, this update contains kernel modifications you should be running
    • If you really want blur-like sdcard mounts, go to Settings -> Storage -> Menu button -> Storage configuration, tick 'Use internal storage', and reboot your phone
    • You can now manage fingerprints and configure fingerprint sensor navigation on the advanced device settings, many thanks epinter!
    • Wifi/bluetooth tether is working once again.
    • Opera Mobile works good
    • Check out for Wifi N networks on the 5Ghz band (thanks epinter!)
    • Retest Foursquare and the like
    • Test all the new led configuration stuff!

New refreshed build on first post, pretty much no changes hardware wise, but it has all CM improvements and fixes to date, including the Torch app. Enjoy!

Come on guys... don't be snippy with each other. There's no need to talk about battery life in this thread unless you have a potential fix. If you don't have a way to fix it, then don't mention it. Complaints and arguing don't help developers solve alleged problems.

#7 posted on post #1! Main changes include volume rocker wake (under screen settings) and whatever else got merged into CM in this timeframe. I also fixed the over 100% battery charge issue and enabled the CRT animation
