what about the case they had for internal testing and is there a metal case for the s3 aswell like these:

i have ordered a belkin one, a silicone clear and the original clear plastic that just turned up in mobilefun. Not sure which one ill like more. but hey, ill try them out!

Belkin one is more expensive and does not seem to cover all angles, whereas the original clear plastic one seems to do that so i may ditch the belkin.

I asked SGP if they would be making a Neo Hybrid EX case like they do for the Galaxy S II and they said it's not in the plans right now. If they get more interest they may make one. So if you want one, send them an email and let them know.

Keep in mind that this style of case is known to scratch the phone if it does not have a rubber lining on the inside.

Ever since the Nexus One came with one in the box, my favorite has been a neoprene sleeve. That way I get to use the phone naked*, and protect it when not in use.

This is also my view on cases, after buying my i9000 I went through loads of cases and screen protector combinations until I bought a valenta leather sleeve from carephone warehouse, it does its job and protects the phone fully and when phone is in use its not bulky from a case, looking for something similar when I get my s3 the Bugatti one looks quite nice

I'll wait and see what the official waterproof cover is like and what its price is - I only ever use a cover on my phone when I go to the beach, the rest of the time it goes naked so something that makes sure that no sand can get into the ports is probably the most sensible assuming the price isn't ridiculous

i figure the phone is going to be large already, and it shouldnt get more bulky with a metal or a thick hard case

Is it me or is it the flip cover fitted by removing the actual back cover plastic and replacing it with the one that the flipcover has?

on the demonstrating video i noticed that it has the same clips all around as the original back battery cover!
