Re: [LT26i][ROM+Kernel][4.1.2]{LEAK} Sony JellyBean Firmware: 6.2.B.0.68

May I flash baseband of version .55 to use network !

I don't think it's baseband related as I explain later on.

yeah good idea! flash an ICS kernel over a JB framework :eek::silly:

First of all...well done!
Where did you find it :) ...
There's a hole in Sony's soul and it's leaking...

Come on guys...it's JB!
ICS kernel can't work...be serious ;)

Maybe, just maybe...if someone know how to extract kernel from letamas or raymans 4.1 we could try, but I doubt it could work.

Someone tried to flash custom cm10.1 and then, without wipeing, flash this?

Please refrain from calling someone out when you are still learning and don't know what you are talking about, and don't even care to correctly read the post

Now answering correctly to that user, the issue is probably in kernel not picking up the radio at all due to some other driver issue(not fm radio, communication radio)
So even assuming ics baseband works on jb kernel(I think It could be even posible) , if the radio is not working, we still can't get the connection.

Hope this helps

It really ROcks!!!

This new firmware is awesome.

348Mb Free RAM
Fluidic in almost all places (Except in homepage where i found the photo widget causing stuckups)
Screen Flickering in between
Wakeup lag (screen lits up fast but lockscreen shows after a lag)
9000+ antutu score
Kernel tuner or system tuner pro not able to change CPU settings
Running less hotter than before.
RAM allotment 687 MB system rest GPU
No overclocking done in CPU as well as GPU.
OOM setting different than of ICS.
The brand is given as "tmobile_gb"
Scrolling damn smooth.
Camera speed increased (Time for taking a photo reduced)
Autofocus Bug Still there
Newer camera features
1Mp screenshots available during video recording
No Bravia Engine 2
Sound a tad louder than before (or it seems)
An app monitoring phone memory which keeps on saying "internal memory 95% full, tap to move files to SD Card" (My internal memory was full but what is this "move to SD card")
New ringtone (showing tmobile ringtone)
Newer smallapps.
taskmanager scrolling smooth
When a program crashes automatic bug report is generated
Noticeably less bloatware

this now makes things interesting.....................once fxp incorporate what they can to get kernel working on 4.2 and cm10.1 updated this will help all the 4.2 roms out there....................as usual Doom is the man on the sony front where Jerp used to be!

not good to compare with him...

jerpelea is much more awesome... he has vast knowledge about android... i am just a noob compared to him...

    According to your tread here:

    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2104020

Is that mean that we not going to have the final version from sony, because some idiot leaked it before its time???
It would make sense... i planned to get an xperia Z anyway.

well what gives u that idea?

as i said numerous times these internal firmwares are for testing and may not reflect what features you will see in the final update...

also look at their update schedule:
    http://blogs.sonymobile.com/2012/12...an-android-4-1-for-2012-xperia-smartphones-2/

    ...
First up, the upgrade plans* for Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V are progressing as planned – these smartphones will start to receive Jelly Bean during February and March.

Next up, Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia go will be upgraded from the end of March. Then Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S will follow in the subsequent weeks.
    ...

they have already rolled out updates for the T, V & TX, TL...

Xperia J also got updated ahead of schedule (mid March)...

so u can expect the Xperia S (and other msm8660 devices) to get updates in next few weeks...

P.S.: this might be a bit premature, but once the kernel sources for the JB update are out I will restart work for DooMKernel for this device :)
i want to sync all my work for 3.4 kernel thats why havent released any kernels for ICS so far... the last kernel i released for this device was for GB and after that i got caught up with my studies...
so as and when the sources are released u can expect DooMKernel soon with features same as the ones on the Xperia T & Xperia Z kernels....
