Ok
I was following the instructions for root and xbmc launcher on the xbmc website. I had read here about another launcher and I recall the instructions saying to uninstall previous xbmc versions which I did.
Problem is there is no xbmc for the xbmc launcher to boot into now as I completed the instructions and forgot to re-install xbmc. yes its late i am really tired...
i can abd into it for maybe a command or 2 before it reboots. I have tried to get into recovery on the device but I must be doing something wrong..
Can anyone help? I don't care if I wipe the whole thing as long as it boots to something.

When you see Update Failed press again Alt + Print Screen + i and when restarts press HOME button and you will be in recovery mode.
